Anybody got a Cough drop? I’m hoarse from yelling- how they went to the monitor on JC’s “strangle” foul and don’t call a flagrant 1 is beyond logic. Good win, wife said I scared the dog..

This game was starting to remind me ofthe B Rob-led incredible comeback v. Miami a few years back. Glad Davidson didn't make it all the way back.

Because it was Grady, and the game was at Davidson.
Seriously, though, I thought it was a hard foul, but not a “head shot”. He was clearly coming over the shoulders to pin the arms and prevent the shot. Should have been called Intentional, but definitely not Flagrant.

Flyers have won 4 straight regular season games against Davidson. 2 at home, 2 on the road They lost to Davidson the first year Davidson was in the league, then lost in Pittsburgh in the A10 tournament in 2016, Archie's last year. So, 4-2 since Davidson joined the A10.

I was one to say this team should not get tired to where it affects play. I am wrong. Our guys were tired tonight. The defensive effort in the last ten minutes was zero. Rebounding near zero. The difference in the second half defense was we never stopping the dribble drive or inside penetration. First half Davidson had 2 pts in the paint, second half 28, and that was with their only good big in foul trouble. First half rebounds UD 20-15. Second half Davidson 21-9. Josh saved our bacon.

Crutcher made that last play of the game with the drive and dish. I thought he might chuck a three.
We were so gassed at the end - hard emotional game Saturday, rest Sunday, travel Monday, play early Tuesday. I doubt we practiced - maybe a short shoot-around and a walk-through at most. The guys were running on fumes the last 5 minutes. Overtime would have favored Davidson by a bunch.

Our defense in the 2nd half was atrocious, across the board. We couldn't keep ANYONE from dribbling into the paint, particularly Crutcher, who couldn't guard my mother tonight. Our help rotations were slow or non-existent. We don't see ball very well when defending off the ball and once again our defensive rebounding was horrible, particularly in the last few minutes.

Proud of them Flyers. Gutsy effort, they always make it interesting. That was a HUGE win, makes the VCU loss Saturday much more tolerable. Now hopefully they dish out some serious payback on Saturday.

Agree. Agree. Agree. And yet we found a way to win on the road with a short turnaround, a whole bunch of empty gas tanks and a bench that simply can’t get any shorter. These guys just won’t quit. I hope their bodies and mental fortitude holds up a couple more weeks. But either way, great season and I love this team.

I hear Tom Brady say this all the time when the pundits ask him about games when they are playing less than stellar opponents or have barely beaten a less than stellar opponent and they imply it will be/should have been an easy game..."You don't understand how hard it is to win a game in the NFL no matter who you play"
I think the same can be said for college basketball and the A10...sure we almost blew a big lead but we were playing a very good team at their home, you had to expect they would make a run, but the most important thing was we got the W!
Is there a difference in winning the way we did or if it had been nip and tuck the entire game and we won by 1?

In reality, probably not. Basketball is very much a game of runs, and this UD team is a dichotomy of both ends of that spectrum.
But it would be nice to see some consistency, for our heart rates alone.
On the other hand, there/they're/their IS a difference between winning by 1 and winning by 15. The NET rankings say so.

I wonder if beer sales are higher in a comfortable 15 point win or a close loss.
Or if it matters at all...

Can't verify beer sales but I can attest to more frequent trips to the restroom in close games. Depends

Great win last night....my dog left the room in the second half and went upstairs. OK question Davidson scores 15 straight trips down...and Dayton keeps playing the same defense...maybe change up a trip or two make them look at something different instead of showing them a lane to the rim????
