**6 GAMES** on ESPN !?!?!

Must mean ESPN family of networks, including ESPN+ (web stream, subscription) but still great.

Time to show the world last season wasn't a fluke.

My takeaways
1. Three Friday night games.
2. Get your subscription to ESPN plus now.
3. Really surprised they didn’t try to cluster games together. Lots of risky traveling here.
4. My hope is we play half of these games.

The Friday night games are assuredly on ESPN or ESPN2, like last year, that will be ESPN's main draw on Friday night.

I'm guessing the Sunday game is on ESPN or ESPN2 as well (plus its Bona who was picked to finish 4th IIRC)

That leaves Tuesday night tilts @ Duquesne and UMass. Duquesne is gonna be good, perhaps even push for an NCAA bid. UMass might have the best NBA prospect in the league currently (though there is a lot of argument for that title atm) I could see either being the 9:00 pm tilt on the deuce, though ESPN+ is a possibility for sure)

Also, I assume the 2 home games not currently scheduled for TV will be picked up by spectrum sports, not sure the game @ Fordham

I wonder when the Non conference slate will get released.

When you click on Dayton at the A-10 link above, it shows the Mississippi game on December 19 as the only non con game we currently have. I will not be surprised if this is indeed the case this year and we play only the 1 non con. Prayers I am wrong.

Hopefully you are wrong, I know there were others discussed, who knows how much Covid changes things. If nothing else, seems like the year to play Miami, WSU, OSU, and whatever other Ohio or other local programs we can.

I think SMU and UD both want their game if they can continue to find a mutually agreeable date.

This year might break my streak of seeing every Flyer game in New England since 2000. With the lack of attendance at UMass I might still get to that one if a percentage of fans are allowed but the URI ticket might be tougher to come by.

same for me but at Duquesne. I’ve caught every weekend game there since my freshman year in 2004. So, this being on a Tuesday night makes it easier to take.

The Loss of the Non-Conference Schedule

for UD in 2020-21 may have a significant impact on their eligibility as an "At-Large" qualifier
for the NCAA if played next year.

With the way the College FB schedule is playing out (see OSU v Maryland among others) due to cancelled games altogether from the many other conferences having to either postpone or cancel games this far into the season, it will be very very surprising to see a full schedule take place for any College BB conference.

It may be strictly due to luck to play all these scheduled games as they stand now.

I haven't seen anything definitive from the NCAA about how the impacted season for any team would affect the invite one way or another to any post-season T.

Look at Wisconsin FB ranked #13 yet has ONLY PLAYED ONE GAME ... how can they even be considered for a post season bowl game ...

I can see the P5 BB programs with less games played than a Dayton type program yet ranked higher or UD not even be ranked yet have a very good W-L record and more games played.

Is this expectation that if there's a COVID situation there's a chance to reschedule a game in A10 play or just cancel?

Somewhere I read this morning they left the entire last weekend open for make up games, plus every team has a couple open slots throughout the course of the season.

The A10 has added a couple bye days for the makeup of games. Probably a good idea under the current circumstances. The Big 10 for some reason did not give their FB teams the opportunity to have makeup games of any type because they waited so long to start the season. Wisconsin could have added a non conference game during the week that one of their games was cancelled. I get the reasoning to some extent as the league wanted to minimize the opportunity spread the disease. On the other hand, they are taking risks every day with just normal contact.

I am of the feeling that basketball will be a little easier to contain in that you have about 1/5 of the athletes and coaches being utilized. We will see how it plays out, but I feel like that UD will schedule at least 6 non conference games. Down to 13 days before the first games can be played. Lets hope we can get in one of these bubble tournaments. I know OSU was trying to put something together. Maybe they will be kind enough to include us.

I second that reading. It also allowed the individual schools to attempt to schedule some non-con games if that could be worked out. I think they said it might even look at expanding an 18 game season to a 20 game season in order to get enough games in ....

If I get to see 12-15 games on TV this year I’ll be happy. If I get to see 1 home game in person, I’ll be ecstatic.

Lowering expectations...

Just in the DDN: “We’re making progress,” Grant said. “Between Neil (Sullivan), our AD and our staff, I think there are some games that we have scheduled and we feel really good about being able to get in the non-conference, and there are some other things we continue to work on. Right now, it’s certainly still a work in progress, but I feel we’re going to be able to put together a schedule that our guys will be excited about playing."
