Golden DNuts - Iowa
Life is about making tough decisions...although this really isn't one.
Go Flyers!

It took a True Team, but we had a comfortable lead when Cooke went out with 4 fouls, we had lost it by the time he got back, and we got it back (and won) after he returned. Cookie Monster gets my vote tonight.

Kyle Davis got us out of the gate fast in both the first and the second half, and is very deserving of my vote, for 2nd best.
Has to be Cooke for the reasons TBone84 posted above.

Great team win with at least 4 guys in double figures, Scoochie with 7 assists and eleven points to go with it and even Kyle putting up 16 in the effort!
Got a bit hairy at the end but so proud of our guys and Archie for getting this one done!
Big win that will pay dividends all season long. X played some quality minutes, took a couple shots (IMHO) that he and Archie might want back but all in all great effort by all including our freshman!

Scoochie runs the show. Voted for him and wish he were just a little more agressive at times.

Scoochie with the two biggest buckets of the night down the stretch. But definitely a total team effort. KP with a quiet 16.

Scoochie all the way.
This team passes the ball like it's nobody's business and as long as they continue, we don't need Pierre.
FWIW, we've played 4 games and had 4 different Golden DNutz winners. And none have been Pollard.
That's impressive.

You want to know how cool SS is? Re-watch the final play where he hits the lefty layup. XW comes to set the screen, and he was moving. It looks to me like SS backed away from the pick rather than accept it because he could see the freshman was about to get called for a moving screen.

I vote Archie, trailing by 3 points in the last minutes of the game AM called a timeout and settled the team down, drew up a defensive and offensive scheme and the boys pulled it out.
Great play by many of the players including freshmen and BW but without AM and staffs leadership at the end we don't get the "W"

Also want to thank the refs for not buying the push/shove (as announcers called it) at games end when Iowa was trying to get a time out falling out of bounds. Dayton shoved him out, my arse. Even so, Iowa was down 5 point with seconds remaining. Make both free those and Iowa was still down 3.

From what the announcers stated AM sat down with Pollard, showed him some film and convinced him he didn't need to make 100 points on every attempt, just let the game come to you, and he did. Expect him to return to the player we all know. Perhaps too much competition from the newcomers got him going too hard and over playing.
Either way, great win when they could have folded.
