A Pollard 3 could not have been what Archie wanted out of a timeout.
And then a Kyle Davie 4-0 RUN!!!!!!!!!

Cooke is in Adams head. Blocks him and then Adams forces up a horrible NBA 3 and misses.

Flyers' defense is tightening up. They are closing up the passing lanes and forcing some bad shots.

That looked to be a charge, not a foul on Pollard. Hope we see a replay, not that it matters.

Adams is no dummy folks. As soon as he gets anyone but Cooke on him he drives right by them. Scoochie was a traffic cone on that drive.

Mikesell with another struggle game. Falls down on the entry pass by Cooke. He is 0-1 shooting the ball and one rebound.

Also those 2 announcers were the worst we've had all year. Spent the whole game repeating things from the SID's information sheet instead of actually discussing the game.
And the producer's cutaways from game action to the crowd were awful.

We ended up outshooting Bonnie from two and three range. 30 points in the paint. Kudos to our D and Pollard on offense inside. X cannot get in foul trouble, as we need him on offense and rebounding.

I actually think Cooke played one of his best games on offense today. He let the game come to him. Didn't force any plays. Didn't panic when we were down by 15. If he can play like this consistently, I think we'll go far in the dance. Eventually, he's going to have break out games again as long as he's patient.

And that wasn't the best thing he did today. I know Adams ended up with 35 but Cooke mostly shut him down from when UD was down 26-11 until late in the game. I'll have to look at the play by play in the box score but Adams went a long time where he couldn't get anything within the offense. I think he got a loose ball drive late in the 1st half, and then a bucket around the 12 minute mark of the 2nd half while Cooke was on the bench.

Well, I've never had a problem with CC's defense. I've had major problems with his offense. He's pretty consistent on the defensive end. But honestly, in most of our losses this year, we've gotten down by a lot early and he started forcing things. Then we ended up losing by 3 or less. If he would've played like he did today, I think we maybe have 3 losses tops.
The thing Charles has to remember, if he's not able to get wide open looks, someone else certainly is.

I know you've been hard on him about forcing it offensively, and by pointing out how good he was today offensively you did something a lot of posters on here never do.
I just want to make sure everyone noticed his defense on Adams. I truly think Charles changed the course of the whole game when he started guarding Adams when UD was down 26-11

Dayton beat Rhody twice is what happened. They hung their heads and didn't show up for their next game. They actually look like they want to play today.

You noticed what I noticed. There was a 15--18 minute stretch where Adams could do nothing. Cooke was the reason for that. Gets my POG vote.

Funny they brought up Maravich and Carr in the game today. Without those 15-18 minutes you're talking about, Adams puts up those kind of numbers.

Last time we had at least 39 attempts was Dec 6 2014 against Eastern Michigan when we had 44 attempts. We hit 26 of them for 59.1%.

I just want to make sure everyone noticed his defense on Adams. I truly think Charles changed the course of the whole game when he started guarding Adams when UD was down 26-11

Cooke's defense on Adams, IMHO, was the difference in the game. Just checked the game recap on ESPN, and Adams scored a whopping 2 points from the 7:20 mark in the first half to the 12:15 mark of the second half. 15 minutes and 5 seconds where the guy who scored 35 only managed 2 points. And in that time, UD went from being down 15 to up 1. Sounds like the difference in the game to me.

I always go back and read these game threads after the game is well over.
Well done Jeff. Early in the game he said not once but twice, "We will be ok"
Maybe change your name to Aaron Rodgers.
