Serious question, not trying to be a wise guy.
The information was shared in P+ based on what a certain individual was advised in a private setting with a UD official. So basically...the information discussed was broadcast in the PP setting that is not to be shared on the main board....the only people that know what went on in that conversation were the two actors as well as those who have read the post in PP.

Granted, the information discussed is public within certain circles of UD, or it wouldn't even have been shared in PP.

If you enjoy this board as much as many of us to, it is a small contribution to keep it going.

So has anyone heard anything about the survey results and if possible project plans have materialized?
One thing that I think is fine to mention is that the response rate from UD season ticket holders was off the chart - roughly double or so what they needed to get a statistically significant sample. Shows the passion of the Flyer Faithful. Lot of opinions to sift through.

Money/fundraising will drive the bus. I think UD would like to go big, but its not that easy. Everyone likes to attend the chili cookoff, but nobody wants to bring chili. Its like that w/anything. 20/80 rule. Much of what needs done is not sexy. Its duct work, hydro, ADA, masonry, electrical, etc. Nobody wants to donate a wad so their name can be on a water pump sucking ground water into the Miami River.

I would really like to know the take by UD on the feedback they did receive on the impact on current season ticket holders. In particular, the ones that are in the rear of the 200's that would possible be impacted by suites. And I am not even referring to cost...but in the actual rebuild design and ideas. I spoke with someone from UD last year regarding possible changes to the interior and my fear after that discussion is how the seat locations at the back of the 200's and the front of the 300's would be impacted.

I hate the whole "winners and losers" in the discussion and surely hope that after the revamp, that everyone comes out a winner. There are people dedicated to their seat locations that should never be impacted negatively...after all...it is their decade long contributions to UD Arena since it's inception that has made it what it is.

What is UD's timetable for this renovation? Are we talking two years or four years away?

Last I heard was that you would see movement in the next 2 years, but that the entire process would unfold over an additional 3 years or so events aren't impacted. Granted, I heard this in the late fall...

What little I have heard from UD personnel suggests that there has been or will be a "formal" presentation to the board of trustees sometime during Q1. That would mean that they are 95% confident in the design and cost. To Chris' point, the big money will drive the process. If you are looking at a $50million+ project, you need to be confident in the funding. Once you get past the primary donors, you then will "automatically" extract a certain amount from the seat licenses/ticket prices. Season ticket holders will probably not donate much more beyond that. The last piece is projected revenue from any additional clubs seats/suites. That said, anything that alters the current seating bowl needs to be approached with extreme caution. What we have today is very special. Chasing more money at the expense of the "Faithful" who have built and supported this program for generations is a risky proposition.
