This shouldn't get lost in the shuffle
Dayton is 43 of 60 from the FT line this year, 71%. Not world-beating but not at all bad either.
Of our 17 misses CW has 6 and is currently our 2nd WORST FT shooter (LW = 3/6), and I don't really worry about him. He'll be just fine.
CL is 5/6.

Attempts per game
I like that we are averaging 15 attempts per game. In past seasons, we had gone several weeks without that many attempts. Hopefully continued aggresiveness and confidence will push that up over 20 per game.

FT shooting will be one of the big keys to the success of this team. The best teams always make their freebies.

71 percent AS A TEAM ... is excellent!
70 percent should be the goal.

There are always exceptions to the rule -- See Memphis last year. Nice run in the NCAA w/o good FT shooting.

Best part is what's behind the numbers
The most encouraging part is that the form and tempo looks good on everyone at the line right now. Correct the mechanics and the numbers follow.
Nicklaus always said, "Practice alone does NOT make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect".

Charles is shooting with confidence from the line. London made two big FT's last night when they went into their foul mode at the end of the game. He stopped by putting the game out of reach. It is going to be very important the rest of the year.

Little is 5 for 6? Good for him! I was thinking that he had been sharp at the line lately. Keep up the good work!
