What a ridiculous poll.

The scoring leader?
The defensive stopper?
The never-turn-it-over point guard?
The power-forward-turned-center who plays like a beast in the post?
The human mismatch?

They all win it.

But I voted for Pollard. No wrong vote there, though.

True Team. Yes, I know that's a cop-out, but when you have a 2-man bench, every player needs to pick-up his share of the load, or the team can't succeed. This team went further than all but the most delusional Flyer Fanatic could have imagined. Hence, our MVP is "True Team".

I voted for Pierre. But I honestly cannot understand the lack of respect for defense that this poll shows. And I guess I'm part of it. But if I got to vote for two, KD would be second.

All of them own part of the MVP, but only one can walk away with the Honor!

I voted Pollard, too, but where would we be* without any of these guys?? I guess this is what you get when everyone has a role and plays it to the best of their abilities every night...and not get tired!

When you look at the entire body of work, SS is my MVP. All were important but the most valuable was the guy who ran that offense for 35+ minutes per game without turnovers.

Got to be Scoochie. He never quite even at the end when some others slowed down. He is like a catcher in baseball, is always in the action, and got better and better.

This really is a poll that is Not Applicable. Take away Pierre, we don't win. Take away Sibert, we don't win, take away KP, KD or SS and we don't win. They really all are MVPs.

Maybe the MVP is the person who demanded the two knuckleheads be tossed. Without that person, we probably don't win.

Thanks for the nomination but I have enough bling and would prefer that one of the players take home the Golden MVP Award.

hard to vote. I will have Scoochie and Pierre share the MVP if I have to vote.

Jordan was great but inconsistent. Pollard brom 10 minutes to 30 minutes of attitude. He's my pre-season Fave for MVP next year.

Kyle definitely defensive player of the year, and all A10 on defense!

D Davis, great freshman. Will only get more confident.

Scoochie while he scares me with some moves and decisions, lulls defenders in. And I like when his offense is on, like yesterday.

Pierre is just a beast. There's no way , without him in the center of the zone on offense, we win nearly as many as we did without his skillset. Great passer, a bull, great scorer. The offense would collapse or not be present without him in that role.

TRUE TEAM!

I am burnout on the so called "True Team" mantra; as that is what a "Team" is. You don't need to call them "True Team" all the darn time. They are a team, they are the Dayton Flyers...that's what a team is. Silly!

I voted for Pierre, he is the glue, inside-outside skills, all purpose player, rebounder, post defender, low post back to basket scoring ability, dribbler and passer with point-forward skills, can use the glass, and has a three point shooting skills, and has more athleticism than most if not all other players on the team. Pierre is the glue!

Boy talk about silly, if that is what the team wants to use as a mantra who are you to suggest they shouldn't. If you haven't noticed all teams and leagues adopt mantras.

Dayton Flyers = TRUE TEAM

Sibert, since he is the only senior and without him we don't make the tournament last year nor make the field of 64 this year.

Next year, it'll probably be Pierre.

Your right, I am sorry, the program has reached it's true team pinnacle. And no other sweet sixteen or round of 32 team is a "True Team", just the Dayton Flyers.

Is Kentucky a "True Team"; how about Oklahoma, are they a "True Team"; how about Xavier, are they a "True Team"??? No, you say, just the Dayton Flyers; or is it no because Kentucky, Oklahoma, Xavier, don't call themselves "True Team"??????

That's what a team is avid. You don't need the word true in front of it. That's what the word "Team" means!

Tough decision on this one...My toss up was between Pollard and Jordan.

If any one of these guys doesn't play well, the entire team suffers. They all played integral parts this season.

Pollard...the guy has had a hell of an improvement compared to last year, and I think he has the potential to be one of the better players to wear a UD uniform. Nothing away from Jordan, as he is a fine player, and this team's successes have been squarely on his shoulders a good amount of the time.

I will miss Jordan. I got to chat with his dad quite a bit this year, and it was good to hear the things that Jordan had to say behind the scenes...such as taking responsibility as a leader when things weren't going well for the team or himself. If he made a bad decision, he took it to heart and didn't want it to happen again. I only wish that we had him for 4 years instead of 2.

ProUD of this entire team. They achieved more than the majority of us thought this year. I can't wait for the Red and Blue game to see what these guys have going forward.
