Sportingnews Article
Didn't see this posted anywhere else - great article on Archie and video segment with DeCourcy where he picks Dayton over the Cardinal.

I really like Archie's comments about "being Marquette" and about the grass being greener. If he does well enough for the Kansas, Indiana, Zona, UCLA's of the world to come calling, I don't expect him to stay. But I hope he sees the UD job as better than or as good as a mid-tier power-conference job (which always seem very risky to me short of a wanting a quick payday), i.e., which is what his brother's approach seemed to be.

His father spent his entire career coaching high school bball. I imagine he could have moved up to college but didn't. I think that tells us what is in Archie's DNA.

Archie should ask Gregory what it's like to leave and coach a crummy BCS program. Gregory won't sniff the success we've had.

I agree wholeheartedly. Because of this, I've been a big NC State fan the past few years. I'm now adding Indiana and Pitt to the list. Crean is on shaky ground.

Crean is Archie's brother-in-law? Do you know the relation? I know Crean is married to a Harbaugh, is Archie related to the Harbaughs?

You got me. I got the sport's families mixed up. I've watched and read so much this week. it's blending with stuff already in my memory bank. I had better stop posting, my mind is mush!! I'll try to delete the comment.

USF Just pulled an offer for the Manhattan coach to coach the Bulls. Contract was for 1m+. USF is a bottom dweller in the AAC, and can't draw flies to their games. See no reason that the U won't put up the big bucks to Keep AM in a program that is light years ahead of USF. Be a top flight A-10 or NBE team, with regular NCAA's , and the right compensation package, could keep AM around for a while.

Don't jinx us, DeCoursy.
I liked it just fine when we are the underdog.
