Always been a pet peeve of mine,
scholarshiped college hoop players
acting as if they are bored during the Anthem.
"Can we get this over so 'I' can perform?
Congrats to Buzz for a job well done.
A lot of coaches should take notice.
I have noticed that the Flyers stand with hand over heart -
all of them. Not always true in past.

TRUE that!

Coaching and Basketball pale in comparison to war, fighting and losing limbs and friends.

Thaks for Sharing. I'm very moved. "That freedom allows us to do what it is we are doing.... those words represent people's lives"

I am amazed!!!!
As of right now 775 folks have looked at this VT Coach Buzz Williams video and how he got his players directed to stand at attention and with hand over heart during the National Anthem. AND FOUR PEOPLE HAVE REPLIED!!!!!!
This is one of the most emotioal, heart warming, patriotic videos I have ever seen and only 4 were moved to comment.

Amazing!

This was incredible to watch. It brought tears to my eyes and there is some point during national anthem where I get a cool chill and tingle. I was never taught to stand like this, but always have.

God bless America and all of our veterans living and those no longer with us. Peace to all!

Agreed, great message ... but I wouldn't get too bummed out about how many people commented here. They may have chosen to comment where the video is posted. It has been seen by more than a million people, been shared nearly 22,000 times and commented on by more than 1,900 people.

I looked at the video. And after that I replayed it several times because of the extreme emotion, effect and pride I felt while watching it. That isnt measured by whether I comment or not or whether I sing or hoop or hollar. Sometimes its very ok to be solemn or silent. And I think thats a big part of the message it sends.
