Recommended play against SLU/Crews...

First or second possession of the game UD should get the ball into Scott in the middle. Have the wing stand right between Scott and Crews (right in front of Crews). Have Scott throw a hard pass and have the wing duck at the last second...hitting Crews right in the face. The UD student section starts an "In your face" chant and hoist posters of Wes Coffee!

That would one turnover I could live with!

without a doubt the most unsportsmanlike display I have ever seen in person. Nothing even close and then nobody owned up to at the time. It could have easily started a riot on the floor. Nobody was ever suspended or disciplined in any way. It is without a doubt one of my most ingrained memories as a basketball fan. I will boo Jim Crews and Chris Mack (and have) every time they visit the arena. Crews himself has never admitted his role in it, he left Mack to take the heat and only years later did Mack insinuate that Crews had ordered it because Coffee would violate the inbounds line.

So I had a conversation with Crews a couple of months ago and proudly displayed my iPhone 5 with the Dayton Flyers phone case. I told him I was in the Arena that day, when Mack drilled Coffee in the face. He sheepishly smiled and simply responded, "Not one of my best days."

Wow...I did not know we were stooping to the level of Mack / Crews.

Lets do the talking on the court with a 30 point smack down. Play like St. Louis is #6 ranked Pitt coming into our house.

Since nobody taped Crews ordering the ball be thrown at Coffee's face, it may have been an accident! In fact, since no crime was committed, no police reports confidentially filed and nobody was arrested or suspended/redshirted for the offense, I'm shocked anyone is still talking about it.

But keep rooting for ED35 because God knows he's never embarrassed himself, the men's basketball program or the University....and we all know Wes didn't deserve that ball to the face but that drunk 17-year old sure-as-heck did!
