Free Throw Shooting
The names may have changed, but the principles have not since I wrote this 5 years ago:
http://www.udpride.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3926
I mentioned in the game thread that in watching Pierre shoot FTs he doesn't find the seams and shoots them off center, resulting in poor rotation. In contrats, Marshall Hendeeosn did and shoots ~80% from the line.

We won a road game against an SEC school that boosted our RPI and our Resume and i still felt sick after the game. Free throws have got to be fixed NOW. This will cost us in the A-10. Every single A-10 road game is going to be like last night

Here's the good news about our otherwise pathetic freethrow shooting. We didn't ATTEMPT a ft in the last 10 minutes of regulation, and we made 3/4 in overtime.
We only have two dependable freethrow shooters right now, Price and Robinson.
And if Jalen can go from a 56% ft shooter last season, to a 78% shooter this season, well, then shame on the rest of the team. They can do it too if they put the time in.

If so then I'll take it; winning every road game would be a dream; but I digress, know what you meant.
Think Archie spent so much on developing our defense or lack thereof we slipped on the free throw techniques. Since AM was an excellent ft shooter I am sure he will make it a point of emphasis.

I would throw Sibert in there as well. He would actually be my go to guy.

What is disconcerting is that we went from being quite respectable at the line in our first several games to being Gawd-awful in the last few. We were shooting anywhere from 70%-80% from the line in our first seven games, and then things started to deteriorate to the point that in our last three games we've been at 50%. How can basics such as Free Throw shooting deteriorate so quickly? We need to get it together for Conference play or we'll be letting winnable games slip away before our eyes.

Conversely, the team defense is much improved over the early going.
Keep up the good D, the free-throw shooting will come around.

Confidence. Positive attitude.
"This one is going in, dead center." Period.
Rather than "I hope I don't miss this one."

Exactly.
If you look forward to shooting FTs and do so with confidence, guess what? You are going to be successful.
If you dread them, more often than not it will become a self-fulfilling prophesy.
