The pay is probably less than some of the better Euro leagues but I'd have to imagine quality of life is better than some place like Turkey

Exactly. Don't have to worry about learning a new language, and a much smaller chance of terrorism and the anti American sentiment is some of the more unstable European countries.

C-time, Kevin Dillard played for the New Zealand Breakers in 2017. Is that close enough to Australia? Kevin Dillard is currently with Paok Thessaloniki.

Well they play in the NBL so it is. I had no idea Dillard was still playing anywhere. Pretty easy to lose track of these guys the longer they are overseas and switching teams.

How much do you think he makes?
More than his apparel business?

Maddog07: are you referring to Smith or Dillard? If Dillard, are you referring to his magic marker message to his former head coach at Southern Illinois Salukis?

Cairns is a pretty cool place. In the tropics, beautiful beaches, and easy access to (unfortunately what's left of) the Great Barrier Reef. He should have a great time if nothing else.

They won their first game beating the New Zealand Breakers 82/71.
"Led by import Scoochie Smith and forward Stephen Weigh, the Taipans hustled back from a double digit first-half deficit, with the Breakers having several players succumb to foul trouble." Scoochie Smith had 18 points.
Does that make UD and "exporter" of basketball talent.

I would prefer that we do more to serve the domestic market.
