Current favorite is “Neck”; the one that starts with really LOWD tubas, and ends with really high trumpets.

Speaking of the music. Could somebody tell the DJ that Living on a Prayer is an awful song for the under 4 minute timeout of 2nd half.
And Neck is obviously awesome. Though I'm not sure how long Red Scare could get away with it if they did the LSU version (which is awesome)

Red Scare would get away with it for, maybe, one game, and then the U would disband the group. Also, I saw Piqua’s comment about the signs. The U has outlawed at least one of those already, on the basis of it being objectionable. Yes, the PC police have already struck.
Finally, my favorite Web version of Neck is from the fine folks at Southern University. Enjoy the screaming trumpets, and the 20+ tubas.

Please don't tell me these things...I'd like to continue 'believing' that destructive liberalism hasn't completely taken over My University.

Cool tune, but terrible to be played at anytime during one of our basketball games.

BJ Thomas “Hooked on a Feeling”
Does anyone remember the “Go” cheer that followed the fight song back in the day? Drums, followed by “Go!”, for three times with a fist or pom pon punch with each word. Then drums, then about 11 “Go!”’s in a rhythmic pattern. Too simple? Too complex? For me, anyway, it always fired me up.

I miss the "GO's!" too.
Because I am the grand bargainer, I will concede any song you or the band wants to play before or during the game if I can get that 4-minute long steady stream of nonsensical noise eliminated after the game. I have performed an informal survey of about 50 people in my section and literally all 50 (seriously not a single outlier yet) comes even close to giving it a stamp of approval. Its not a song. Its not anything. Its just everybody blowing into instruments for an endless amount of time.

My eldest son played trombone in the "Pride of Dayton"Marching Band and the Pep Band from 1978 thru 1982. Clair Miller had a tremendous music library to draw from. "Hooked on a feeling" is just one of the great songs. It brings back a lot of memories of watching my son in that great organization.

That is great. I take pride in the UD band. It’s a big part of the experience. Love when they mix in traditional songs but understand the need to pipe in music at times Seems like UD is able to create a perfect mix
