Question Who would you finish the last minutes with?

With a sample of 3 games, it's beginning to look like certain players will be tapped to close out a close game. Last night Coach made his last substitution with 7:29 to go in the game and we are up 5.
He chose Matos, Cunningham, Davis, Crutcher, and Landers.

That left Toppin, Mikesell, and Cohill on call.

Given the lack of good competition for Obi at this point in the season, that seems like the right move now, but he was a shot blocker in HS. With more experience he could replace Josh for defensive reasons. Defense is not one of Ryan's strengths. Cohill is tough to leave out in this equation, but Davis and Crutcher are ball handlers and shooters, and not so lacking in defensive ability that situational substitutions are needed.
AG trusts the guards he saw in the clutch all last year. Cohill will be pushing them hard IMO before the A10 season. If we were behind in the closing minutes and had to full court press, I'm going with Cohill in for somebody depending on what position needs a boost on defense.

Waddautink?

With a Lead or without the Lead?

Close game and behind a few points. I would go with the best defensive 5. Josh, Crutcher,
Davis, Landers and Matos. With a lead I replace Landers with Mikesell and Matos with Cohill
(for foul shooting and ball handling). With a blowout lead it's Westerfield, Leonard and Greer,
Mikesell and Matos.
