Chris Mack - "It Stinks"

When asked about how he feels about playing against Sean Miller, he says "It stinks. I mean it really stinks when you have to play against somebody who has done so much for you".

Is this guy always such a tool? I mean how about "I have all the respect for Sean Miller and his team and look forward to a great opportunity and a great game". But no "it stinks" is what he says.

It's BS. Maybe if it was the first round, but when you make it the sweet 16 you are happy to play against anyone, including your mentor. It was so fake. He looked like a total tool.

I root against _avier whenever they play and I don't like Mack, but I didn't think what he said and how he said it was that bad. Sure, what you suggested he should say would have been better, but my expectations from him are pretty low.

I personally found no problem with what Mack said. I don't like the guy, but on this occasion, what he said makes sense. You hate to play against a friend knowing one of you have to lose.

I don't like Xavier but respect Mack. He seems like a very down to earth guy, and has a sense of humor.

It must stink beating #47 Ole Miss & #63 Georgia a State to make the Sweet 16. If I remember correctly, last Sweet 16 their round of 32 game was Wofford or Lehigh like #75 after beating #50 in round of 64. What luck!!!!

Exactly. What wouldn't stink for Mack? If he was in another region and had to play at least one tough team already? If Arizona got eliminated before he had to play his friend? If X would've gotten eliminated so he didn't have to play his friend? What is it that would've made Mack happy? He's a tool.

You are making yourself look silly. Again, don't worry about X unless we play them. We are in the midst of another great run for UD in the NCAA tournament. We shouldn't even be having a conversation about X during one of the best periods of tournament history for UD.

Honestly, I hate X as much as the next guy, but that's not what got me on this, I honestlythought it sounded stupid. Friends play friends all the time, it's not some unique situation and it far from "stinks". While one has to go home, one is guaranteed to move on. It's fun to play against your friend as long as you both have a sense of sportsmanship about you.

And, there's nothing about moving on to the sweet 16 that stinks. Nothing.
