Summer questions
Always a bit of a dead period for UD Pride, who has any insight into what is happening with the players and what the coaching staff is allowed or not allowed to do. Some specific questions:
1. Do we know who is enrolling for summer and when? I believe there are two summer sessions
2. Are the players working out with strength and conditioning coach or do they have to work out on their own? Any reports on increased strength/size on any of the players?
3. Are they allowed to work with any of the coaching staff 1 on 1?
4. Does anyone still play in the summer leagues?
5. Any updates on Miller? Mikesell still has another surgery to go
6. Any updates on Cunningham's ankle?
7. Is Kostas still traveling with Giannis?
8. We are in an official Quiet Period for the NCAA through July 5. No official visits but not sure what else can be done. Dead Period starts July 6 - July 31 with a couple of exceptions for evaluation. I think the new calendar starts in August, not sure it's been published yet. Anyone heard anything about recruits we may be targeting for next year or years after?

TxFlyerFan-
Buy a boat, enjoy summer, talk Flyer hoops in the fall!
Seriously, some good questions your asking though. I wondered about #4 the other day, do not hear much talk about summer leagues anymore.

Clayton, you've got that wrong:
Find someone who already owns a boat, become good friends, enjoy their boat w/o any of the costs or time associated with ownership, talk Flyer hoops in the fall

Leaving for Paris, London, Iceland on Saturday. I am pretty comfortable that I will not miss anything here and if I do - so what - like usual, there is nothing I could do about it anyway.

Always heard the two best days were the day you bought the boat and the day you sold it. I'm not a water guy. I prefer the golf course. This is the toughest time of year for me, because my teams are out of the NHL playoffs, don't care NBA, don't care much for baseball anymore, though do check out the Reds from time to time. There's just not much to do until football kicks off and then basketball isn't too far behind.

Some Recruiting Info:
Dayton's Team Camp, where most of the top HS in the state attend, happens on the Weekend of June 24th (per Schwade)
Some 2018 Targets to watch... 4 star G Dwayne Cohill from Cleveland, Damon's son 4 star G Dane from outside Columbus, if O$U blows up lol and he could possibly decommit, and recently offered 3 star PG Anthony Nelson.
There are 3 big time Local Talents in the 2019 class... PG Andre Gordon from Sidney, SG Samari Curtis from Xenia and SG/SF Amari Davis from Trotwood

I've already been asked to leave that entire weekend open for officiating and hope to work 6-8 games...I'll have a full report on the Monday after the camp.

It will be interesting to see whether Grant goes after Cohill, a PG. He has many offers from smaller schools plus OSU and WV. Sounds like he would like to go to UM, but no offer yet.

My big question is about Trey Landers. I'm curious what his role will be going forward. We saw so little of him last year that I don't know much about him and what position he'll play under CAG's system.

Simple answer- 8 AM tee time, on the water by 1, steaks and beer at 8, pass out at Midnight. Repeat daily.
And the eye candy if your with the right crowd in the right cove is quite enjoyable on a boat, and this is coming from a guy who was never a water person either, but married one!

Landers seems to be the forgotten man with all the talk of seniors graduating, decommitting Archie players, potential graduate transfers, Crosby, last minute CAG incoming recruits landed, injuries to the Hardy Boys et al. but I am expecting Landers to be a breakout surprise and contributor.
Not sure where he fits in yet because he is a hybrid 2-4. Despite a propensity to foul and be out of position on defense in limited minutes last year, he seemed to play with mojo and swagger when he was on the floor. He can shoot, score, rebound and is strong. I have very little confidence in JC or DD but have high expectations for Landers in CAGs anticipated system. Esp. if he stays close with X and Kostas.

Could be hybrid 2-4. Could be hybrid 6-11 with versatility to sit all over the bench. I dunno... my hunch is that kid can play, but all I can really say for certain is that Dayton has an awful lot of hybrids.

Trey needs to get in better basketball shape as he'll be logging plenty more minutes. He put on a few lbs. as lots of freshman do being away from home..Still he was in great overall shape but had that bull-in-a-china-shop mode too much. He's he's going to play both the 2 and 3, imo.. Alot more 2 on offense but can play both on D with his strength and athleticism..
