Golden Senior Day Award - GW
That game showed the type of enthusiasm and energy that I royally expect to see next season and beyond from my Anthony Grant lead Dayton Flyers. Timely 3's, set plays for dunks, high 5's for subs...that was a great game. We all should expect more of that type in the future. And we will.
But before we get too far ahead of ourselves and the team, we need to hand out some Royal bling. We had quite a few awesome performances that need to be rewarded before one can be awarded.
Vote away...
Go Flyers!

BabyD has grown to be Mr. SIR SENIOR DAVIS. Congratulations Daryl on a great senior day and year; you have earned and Deserved the votes of all Flyer Faithful Fanatics. Thank you for the memories of a great Flyer career.
And thank you Mr. GRUDEN for job well done.
Best wishes to both of you.

I voted for Darrell Davis! Great Senior Day performance! He had me when he made that first 3 pointer! I think he had 9 points almost by the first TV timeout.
Good luck to him in his future endeavors. Also, thanks Joey Gruden for sticking with us. You will be a Flyer forever!

Went with Joey. To be a 4 yr walk-on shows a rare dedication to this program which, for the most part, has been very very successful. Plus, it's probably the only time he's been nominated!

I'm elated to see what Kostas can be in the future. That was showtime in the paint yesterday and it will elevate our thinking over the off season.

Yes. DD got my vote. But Trey has shown the toughness that we need going forward. Have you noticed the proffesorial role TL has displayed? Not only does he instruct and guide the Flyers, but he engages the refs in appropriate discourse...and opposing players!!

Voted for DD because he had a great game on senior day and set the tone for the team for the day. Although he has been much maligned over the years for his play, including his TO's this season, I've always felt that his effort always 100%, and for that I admire him.
Was also happy to see some energy back in Josh's game and the continued development of Kostas. And congrats to Joey G on his start and a great career of dedication to Flyer basketball and the UD community as a whole.

This was DD's day. He got us going early, and we never looked back.

Some great nominees, but because he scored 22 and had clutch basket after clutch basket on Senior Day, I went with Darrell. Thought about voting for Kostas because he was a virtually-unstoppable difference-maker yesterday. Didn’t consider Joey until I saw his name listed. Other good choices, too. But Darrell “showed” on Senior Day. Good enough for me!

It Was Great
to see the Flyers respond to Senior Day with pride and energy. They played well at both ends and had 5 guys scoring in double figures. They distributed the ball well. Congratulations to The staff and players for a fine senior day effort.
