UnGolden Who Farted Award - A10T v St L
The King's mother always told me 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything', so I'm just going to post this poll and let you all take over the conversation.

I stand by the fact that St. Louis is our toughest match up in the conference. They are the only team with the size down low to completely disrupt how we play. The only way we can beat them is to shoot the 3 well, which we did in dayton when we beat them. Overall we do not shoot the 3 well at all.

Crutch never got the team in position to score as a pg is supposedly to do. Could at least waive his arms as defenders blew by him. Still processing the no look behind the back turnover.

Mikesell absolutely deserved all the superlatives people have been lavishing on him for the last two weeks, but last night he pooped the bed. Doesn’t make him a bad person or player.

I voted for Coach Grant on the basis of having too many guys who sharted the bed last night to be able to pick just 1. Mikesell didn’t play like the Mikesell who’s been our glue over the past 6 weeks. Crutcher looked like he was either scared or unsure of how to attack SLU’s 1-3-1 zone. Obi was short-arming shots even before he picked up that badly called 2nd foul. Josh disappeared again last night. Only Davis, Landers, and Cohill gave us anything close to normal results. And Coach took way too long to put Cohill on Isabell, as the damage had already been done at that point.
So yeah, as much as I support Coach Grant, I had to vote for him to receive this “honor”.

Last night was awful from the coach on down, but I’m not going to bash Josh. He can’t perform if our guards can’t get him the ball. It’s infuriating to watch Jalen pass left to a Mikesell; pass right to Davis; pass to a flashing Obi; pass pass pass pass ... three seconds on the clock, desperation heave.
Jalen seems unwilling to drive the lane until late in games when we’re in crisis mode. Josh has issues, but he goes unrewarded time and again when we don’t get him the ball.
Since it truly was a team loss and I can’t vote for all of the above, I’m not voting. But as good as Jalen is — 18 points, some acrobatic moves — he just doesn’t have the required point guard moxy. FIVE turnovers to go with five assists is abysmal in a game this big
Oh screw it. I’m voting for him. He’s better than this, and our bigs needed him last night.

I jokingly wondered aloud last night if a Crutcher had money on SLU. He was not right from the get go, lazy passes, showboating just really out of character. The reason I voted for Ryan was that for all his mistakes Jalen contributed SOMETHING.

WTF! Crutcher's behind the back unsuccessful pass resulting in one of his 5 turnovers was the equivalent of Obi's between the legs dunk which drew raves on Sportscenter but the difference was Obi was fortunate to complete the task! If he had missed do you think AG would have not been infuriated and substituted for him immediately because he had either Mikesell or Landers on the bench. Crutcher knew better but tried the behind the back pass anyway! He knew that he would not be substituted for. For that and his other 4 turnovers I voted for him because in lasts nights game he seemed to be putting himself above the TEAM!
I thought Jalen had turned the corner in the Davidson game where he drove the lane and instead of trying an impossible shot he fed Cunningham for the game winner because Josh was fouled and made the free throw. However, the problem with this years limited roster is that most of them reverted back to some bad habits in each future game! Consistency was what was blatantly missing this season! You can't put that all on Anthony Grant! The players have to take responsibility for themselves!

Cville, that’s what I’m hoping will happen next year with an extended bench. If Crutcher tries more of those WTF passes next year, Coach will be able to say, “You want some mustard with that hot dog? Come sit next to me on the bench while you eat it.” At least, that’s what I’m hoping will happen: if the team succeeds while you’re on the court, you’ll play more; if the team does poorly, and you’re partially to blame, then take a seat and figure it out. Now, if that doesn’t happen, then yeah, that’s on Coach Grant.

Had to vote for Grant, as he did not have the team in the right attitude to go to a street fight. We played them twice before, so wake up Coach. He made adjustments, but too late or the wrong ones. Did he say anything to Crutcher for the worst pass in the history of UD?
In the second half when SLU went into their press, he let Crutcher, Davis and Obi float passes near half court, like that was some kind of offense. It appeared that finally Davis took it on his own to split the defenders, and did so successfully, and then Grant took him out until their were about two minutes left. What the? The kid struggled so much, and he finally hit some shots and drove to the basket, and we get someone who plays a little bit of defense, but is no offensive threat. That went well on offense with Landers, who won't/can't shoot, Mikesell, who wore the sombrero last night, and the crippled Obi and Cunningham. And if Grant was trying to get some better defense, that did not work, and he also got no offense, so this one is on you, Coach.

And for those of you still dreaming about McKinley Wright over Crutcher, his Colorado team was beaten in the lowly rated PAC12 semis, as Wright shot 1-10 with 4 assists and 4 turnovers. Some of their fans are probably posting, "Why couldn't Wright have stayed with Dayton, and we recruited that kid from Memphis?"

My vote went to Mikesell. He disappeared at the wrong time. I get SLU plays like bullies, but Ryan gave them his milk money too easy.

Just like the "Well at least _avior lost too!" thinking, how someone other than 'our guys' played poorly doesn't or shouldn't make you feel better.
We get no sympathy, brownee points, and "get out of jail card" because someone is /was in the same boat as us. I'd like to think that UD is in the winners circle rather than being in the losers bracket ...
Whether or not Wright did or didn't play well provided no consolation to me.
We needed 'our guys' to step up and not have someone else falter in their situation be it a team or a player.

I wanted to vote for Obi, Josh and Mikesell. Anyone that *should* have been guarding their bigs, grabbing rebounds or hitting high percentage buckets. They absolutely ate us alive in the paint. All. Game. Long.
Oh, and clearly Grant for our offensive game plan being to throw sky high floater passes back and forth.
Where is the option for "Everyone sucked" Rollo?

Agreed. Not good when your toughest player is a frosh, good news is for the future. We do need more from the guards. Flyers just got out worked.
