We are so bad these last two games. I wonder if we still can go 14-2 in conference...

If we win please don't say that a win is a win! This game was an embarrassment, no matter what anyone says.

6 guys????
Does this only happen to UD?
We've essentially won 3 games in the last 3 years because of this same thing. Incredible.

Really? They just got a technical for 6 guys on the court. You would be all over BG for that as a fireable offense.

I can't think of any other time I've seen a team have six players on the floor except against Dayton. It is amazing that it happens so often.

There is a similarity between sports and the stock market: Both involve and reward expectations. We should have blown St Joe's out at the UD Arena. This is not a satisfying win, although it is a conference win.

I actually think SJU is better than umass. They've got a good interior presence and shotblocker, they can score inside or out, and they have some good young guards.
They worked pretty hard tonight and made it close. We just look hapless against a zone. We had about a three minute stretch where we looked like we knew what we were doing vs. the zone and it won us the game. Martelli had to call time out, and only showed zone once (briefly) the rest of the night. And on that play, CW got the alley oop dunk.
Just not a pretty offense overall for us though. Interior defense and rebounding was really bad tonight. Got better toward the end, but it has to get much better. We have a lot of work to do.
The good news vs. x is that they usually don't want a half court game either. So hopefully, they don't expose our flaws the way the last three teams have.

Agreed! When the market/season is looking up everybody is on cloud nine and CEO's or coaches are all geniuses. When the season/market turns south, there is widespread panic. People jumping out of windows, making crazy statements, and poor decisions. The bad investors change their plan to what is popular in the moment and forget what their plan was. The smart investor stays the course and follows the plan. They make rationale changes based on sound advice from seasoned professionals not rumors or advice from a messageboard.
Just saying!

If BG is responsible for for players throwing inbounds plays out of bounds and letting secured rebounds slip out of their hands with no one even trying to knock it loose, should't Martelli be held responsible for his asst coaches blunders?
I guarantee you there are people on the St Joe's forum that think he is responsible.

A win is a win but.............
I'm sorry, I just see no chance against X, the hunchback may score 20+.
Can MK palm the ball, his hands are tiny for a 6'10 man.

I think we will come to play against X. We will probably lose because we most always lose in Cinci but we will play hard.
That is the most frustrating thing I see about this and recent teams,. We have difficulty getting up for games when we are the favorite. If we would play with 90% of the intensity we put forth in the big games, we would have some blowouts. I remember the days when 15 to 30 point blowouts were not all that uncommon against mediocre teams. That is what we need to do to intimidate some teams but right now everyone knows they can hang with us.
Is it the team? Is it the Coach? I can't answer that but I know it is a problem we need to overcome.

2nd half was maybe the best of the year for the Flyers.
What was the difference ... they quit taking dumb shots and forced the ball inside. I think it happened because CW quit taking dumb shots. When you team leader is taking bad shots, commiting dumb TOs and making wild drives into the lane what is that telling everyone else.
CW played under control in the 2nd half, first time all year.

I have a few slo mo's from my nose bleed seats. I missed the second alley-oop. I got the first one that CW saved and turned into a layup. I have an early flight tomorrow so I will put them up Friday
