I thought for a minute there was a sniper in the arena. Remember when Scoochie got shot?

Great game by each of our starting five. Crutcher and Landers both with 9 assists.
One of our better defensive games. We allowed very little dribble penetration.

I remember Doug. He was 1 year ahead of me. Also, he was the DDN beat writer before Jablonski

Jordan with all of our steals, 4, and 5 assists and 18 points on 7-8 shooting. Hard to pick a POG, but he is probably it.

Dambrot did a good job at Akron. His father played at Duquesne.

Agreed. Shared the ball very well tonight. Dare I say, better than we saw a few times in the past 2 seasons.

Attendance
....13200+ fannies in the seats. Amazing! And at UMass about 300; roughly one tenth of a typical Flyer's women's game at the Arena.
What fans!
__________
And in the Arena's nearly half century history average men's attendance has been 11,939 according to UD.....amazing!

At the risk of red pips, I need to say this: I believe Crosby was told to get the ball to Cunningham at the end of the first half, come hell or high water. I say that because they were both on the same side of the lane for several seconds (right in front of my seats, I may add), but Cunningham couldn't get free because he was getting "caressed" by his "number-sake" from Duquesne. Crosby simply ran out of time to get it to Cunningham in position to make a play, so he tried to create something on his own (and he's not a creator).
As much as I've berated Crosby in his time at UD, I think he played a decent game tonight. My favorite 2 Crosby moments tonight were:
-When he came up from behind a DU player on a rebound, and fought like he!! to get the ball away from the guy who had 6" on him; and
-When a shot went up, and he was stuck boxing-out DU's center (who had him by 6" and at least 50 lbs), but he kept the guy off the glass, and didn't pick-up a foul in the process.
You hustle like that? You've earned a little PT.

And the student attendance tonight was pathetic - again.
