NBC Sports Network
Has anyone figured out to subscribe to basketball on NBC Sports Gold? Their website is bewildering. I can see how to subscribe to rugby and motorcross...not basketball. One concern with that is that if it’s this hard to sign up...how hard will it be to cancel?
Any insights you have would be appreciated.

I think I’ve figured it out. They have multiple networks. For NBCSN I have to have a cable package, which I don’t, so...Larry and Bucky for me.

You could always sign up for one of the streaming services for a 7 day trial. Sling, Vue, YouTube TV, Hulu.... They all carry the network. So you'd at least be able to catch 5 games on NBCSN. Just cancel before the 7 day trial is up.

That’s good to know. I’ve had Sling before. It’s very easy. I could sign up for hoops season if I want to watch. Thanks fly!

No, at our vacation and weekend home in Kentucky, Windstream, with a whopping 6 megs.
But we contemplated switching to Frontier which as you know is the only other option locally in our part of the Dayton area, and after at least a dozen people told my wife and I horror stories we are currently stuck with Spectrum.

Same here. Frontier is a disaster in Dallas. AT&T just covered the hood with fiber optic and the early response is underwhelming. For now I'll stick once again with all-too-expensive Spectrum.
But competition is going to force everyone to be more competitive in price and service IMO.
I just don't know if I'll live that long.

I have AT&T / DirecTV and am able to use my AT&T login on the NBCSN website to access the livestream.

I have Frontier in Dallas and I've had two minor issues since they took over from Verizon. Works like a champ on my 150/150 connection.

Same thing can be done with Hulu, your one account can be used on up to three devices, so our daughter uses it when at school to watch sporting events live on her laptop computer

I used NBC sports today. My kids misbehaved, and I made them watch the lasalle/ umass game as punishment. Needless to say, they've been on their best behavior since then.

If Spectrum would quit mailing every address advertising direct mail 2-4 times a month plus 4-color ads in every newspaper and bunk mail service they can find, they could cut their rates by 30% and own the market because word of mouth of their lower rates would drive new customers to their service. Instead they continue to prop up local newspapers across the nation and help the post office lose money every year...while over charging for cable services.

Bingo
You forgot the telemarketing they do, at least to small business owners. I get at least one call every single week wanting me to switch to Spectrum for internet at my office.

Heads up..check your tv schedule again...
The last 3-4 days I’ve been going out to my dish tv schedule and scrolling over to noon on Sunday to see if I could get UD vs Richmond. It wasn’t available. Some other obscure sports programming was still there late yesterday afternoon. So I was going to stream view.
Per chance I looked again this am and low and behold they now have the game on the schedule. So happy I checked one more time. I hope it’s the same for others who live out of the Dayton area.

No basic cable Flyers for me in Utah. Does anyone know if most of their A-10 games are on NBCSN?

Looks like they alternate between NBC and CBS. That’s the big brains at the A-10 making it easy to follow our team.

I see 6 upcoming games on ESPN+ which I don't get been trying to decide if that's worth it given they do have a bunch of hockey and soccer games (Serie A and FA Cup) I can't get otherwise
I'm also debating if I'm going to dump Spectrum when my deal is up next month and switch over to either AT&T or Google Fiber. Here for their low-end internet + tv it's $20/month more than I'm paying now

As long as you don't mind watching the games on your computer/pad, ESPN+ is well worth it. Lots of interesting BB games and other sports. I tried feeding my computer into the TV via an HDMI cable but it was not as clear as on my iPad. Much better than the old A10 network and less expensive ($60 vs $100).

ESPN+ is available on your TV through most streaming devices like Roku, AppleTV, Chromecast, etc.

We got a new Smart TV for Christmas and have no problem. Prior to that I hooked my laptop up the old TV and I thought the quality was OK. Agree......ESPN+ has been worth the $5.00 a month.

We use a Chromecast, get game on phone and cast it to the TV.
