Here's a column by Dan Wetzel on the NCAA. Interesting read...I don't always like his columns, but when he writes about the NCAA like this, it resonates with me...it's all too out of whack from my point of view...

Thanks for the link. That was a very good, albeit very depressing article. It's all about the Benjamins, unfortunately.

Yeah, unless a wave of honesty has suddenly and unexpectedly swept over the country, it has to be look-the-other-way enforcement that has caused the decline in NCAA infractions on the big boys. But, hey, Middle Tennessee State really needed to be put back in its place, don't you think?

PS -- Am I the only one who thinks Myles Brand is a stuffed shirt who is looking out for his BCS buddies?

Bobber, I agree 100%. I would like to think that the sooner Brand is gone the better, but his replacement will probably just be more of the same. It will probably take a major scandal or cirsis to bring about any kind of meaningful change.

Major crisis? That can't happen, I mean, it wouldn't happen in our financial markets, so it couldn't possibly happen in the NCAA.
