They both are terrible, and if we cannot beat either one, then we deserve what we get.

Assume we win...
...the first game against either FU or GMU....doesn't that make the SJU game a must-win for the Flyers? Will the Committee select a UD team that has lost three games to St. Joe's? Maybe; but I don't think so.
In my opinion,...opinion,...a ticket to the Dance requires two A10 wins for UD.

Why? We need a win. Fordham is the worst team in the conference by far. Mason's bad record is a fluke. They could easily have 4 or 5 more wins. Maybe more. I would take an easier win over a better RPI in a heartbeat. Go Fordham!

More than needing a win, we need to avoid a sub-100 loss. IMHO, Fordham is a better matchup for UD in that regard.

RPI difference b/t beating Mason and Fordham is almost non-existent. We're talking a few thousandths in RPI value. Almost not even enough to change our RPI rank.

Speaking of rpi changes, if La salle loses would they remain in the top 100?

Fordham survives 70-67 over Mason. It will be the Rams tomorrow for the Flyers.

Couple of things...There is simply NO way that I would have preferred to play George Mason. They may have a terrible record, but they are far more lethal than Fordham when they put it together. George Mason simply didn't put it together often or for big stretches of games. But, a well playing George Mason team can beat anyone in the conference. The same cannot be said for Fordham.
Put me in the group that believes that 3 losses to one team does not knock us out. If we lose to SJU, we'd be 23-10 and 11-7 against conference foes. Take out the SJU games, and we're 23-7 and 11-4. That screams match up problems. It happens. There are certain teams that just don't match up well against a particular team. That's not an indication of whether the team is tourney caliber (though it may indicate that our coach needs to get Coaching Cliff Notes and to pay particular attention to the chapter on overcoming match up problems). It's something that's somewhat common in sports. Some teams just bring the stank with them when they play a particular team.
This doesn't mean that I think that UD gets in with a victory of Fordham. which would leave our worst possible record as 23-10. There are still teams that could make a run and play a bit of leap frog. If Missouri makes it to their championship game, are they in? Tennessee? At the end of the day, UD's fate may have truly been decided by BYU losing to Gonzaga. Gonzaga got an RPI bump and a bubble team turned into a pumpkin.

Anyone who thinks a win against GM instead of Fordham boosts our resume is delusional. And because we're playing Fordham doesn't now mean UD needs to win two games. On the flip side, a loss to either puts UD at risk for only 1 reason: a 4th bad loss. The potential for a 4th loss is the only thing keeping UD from getting in.
GM is clearly more dangerous than Fordham so tonight is a good development. Simple as that.

Tomorrow's game has nothing to do with RPI and SOS and everything do do with a W and advancing in the tournament. I think UD is in, but UD as a program that can't afford to be bounced from their conference tournament...again...in the first round.

UD can't lose tomorrow or they will likely not get in the NCAA. RPI up or down means nothing. The Flyers need to be ready to play. Start fast and get a win. Don't let them get confidence. Don't even think about the next game or it won't matter.
