Passing of NovaFlyer
Avid Flyer Fan and fellow UD Prider, NovaFlyer, passed away this weekend. Ray Olfky was someone you definitely wouldn't forget if you ever met him, as he was a genuine pleasure to be around and always had a smile on his face.
I met Ray 11 seasons ago as my wife and I came across season tickets right next to him. I always knew when we were in for a good time harassing referees when Ray had a beer to start the game. Ray was an adjunct professor at UD, Air Force Veteran, member of the Retirement Village People (at Dragon's Games) and most widely known in the area as being involved with distance running. I have read many Facebook posts over the last few weeks regarding Ray and realized what an impact he had on everyone he was around.
You never know who you may come across during your travels as a UD fan, and Ray is one that I am fortunate to have met.
