Awesome....can't get enough of this Flyer Faithful stuff. Mostly because it is so ****ed true and just a little insane.

Just ask Fordham fans....God they hate when we show up (all except their accountants of course). Dayton games may very well generate their highest revenue of the year.

I recall going to see UD play Iona at Iona in Dec 1981. We had just graduated spring of '81 and I was working in NYC. One of my co-workers was an Iona grad.

We weren't more than 10 minutes into the game...it was close but the Flyers were winning.....UD fans all over the place....My buddy turns to me and says something to the effect....'Where the he[[ did all of these people come from...Isn't your **** school in Ohio?"

That was my first experience with the Flyer Faithful traveling team...Their fans were pi$$ed...but impressed....begrudgingly of course. Another group of bewildered and annoyed hometown fans wondering Who the F are these people and why are they in our building!!!

	Flyer Faithful FLYER FAITHFUL Best college basketball fans in the country. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and loyal. Help to create one of the toughest home courts in the nation at UD Arena. Over 12,000 fans a game put the Flyers in the Top-30 nationally in attendance. Fan spirit and support growing to other UD sports and athletic programs as well.

	Fordham FORDHAM Fordham University is an independent Jesuit university established in 1841 as St. John's College on old Rose Hill Manor in the village of Fordham, then part of Westchester County in the Bronx, NY. The name Fordham is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words "ford" and "ham," meaning a wading place or ford by a settlement. Rose Hill is the name given to the site in 1787 by Robert Watts, a wealthy New York merchant, in honor of his family's ancestral home of the same name in Scotland. The College was originally staffed by diocesan clergy. The name was officially changed to Fordham University in 1907. Fordham's 10 schools enroll 14,448 students. There are 7,652 undergraduates, of whom 3,842 live in University-managed housing either on-campus or in the local community. Fellow members of the A10 Conference. Nickname is the Rams. Athletic claim to fame is consistent mediocrity in nearly all sports and few A10 title winning programs.

I remember that Iona game. First time I had ever heard of UD and started me asking questions about it...which led to school starting in 1986.

To steal a name from my earliest sports hero - "Archie's Army." (Although it existed well before Archie)

I ran into a friend at a restaurant the other day. His brother is Tim O'Toole the assistant at Stamford. His previous gig was Director of Basketball Ops at Syracuse. We had a nice chat!

I was in Memphis for the game with my family. After the game on our way to Beal Street . A T V reporter asked my sister " Honey , Don't you all know that your team lost?" No they didn't.
