Watching Akron Game Outside Ohio

Is it safe to assume that Fox Sports Ohio will not be streaming the Akron game for those of us not close to Ohio? I seem to remember that UD boasted that all games not on national TV would be streamed for out-of-towners.

The link below says it will be streamed on DaytonFlyers.com. Just be patient and the link will probably go up on Gameday.

I don't live in Ohio and will be able watch the game on TV but I have DirecTV with all the sports channels. The following is not to single you out Sid Louick but it seems like a lot of people here complain about not being able to get a game on TV but often times it is because they are cord cutting or don't want to pay for the channels they need to watch the games.

Where I live (Northern Virginia) I only have access to Comcast cable and no matter how much I would pay, Fox Sports Ohio is not included in any of the sports packages available to me. Back in the days when you could get a game streamed from opposing teams' packages, I always coughed up the $9.95 charge to watch a game. I would do the same Saturday night if that was available but I don't think it is.

You can't get DirecTV or Dish in Northern Virginia?

I understand that cable systems like Comcast/Spectrum don't always carry all the sports channels and that is why I have DirecTV.

As for the game being streamed Saturday I'll take the UD release at it's word that the game will be streamed. I guess we'll find out Saturday.

The Akron game is also on Fox College Sports Central, which is carried by many cable companies in their sports package.
