Auburn Game Thread

Extremely Tough Road Matchup on Saturday against quite possibly the best team on our schedule... Yes, including UVA. The Tigers are fantastic this year even tough Bruce Pearl is a scumbag. They average over 86 points a game and give up 60 a night.

Game is on Saturday Night at 8:30 PM and will be shown on the SEC Network.

Starting Lineup:
G 1 Jared Harper 5’11” 175 JR Mableton, GA
G 2 Bryce Brown 6’3” 198 SR Stone Mountain, GA
G 10 Samir Doughty 6’4” 195 JR Philadelphia, PA
F 24 Anfernee McLemore 6’7” 220 JR Warwick GA
F 5 Chuma Okeke 6’8” 230 SO Atlanta, GA

Brown is their leading scorer at 16 a night. Harper is one of the best PGs in the country, 13.9 PPG 3.1 RPG 6.8 APG, and an elite athlete.

We are probably not gonna win but I want to see how competitive we can be on the road against an elite team.

I agree it's the toughest opponent we have played. They are athletic and all are muscular. Like maybe even more than Trey and rollo. They seriously own the stat sheet over the teams they have played this year.

Is ESPN+ going to work tonight?

The game is on the SEC network. I tried to watch the women when they played S Carolina and when I clicked to watch, I ended getting something that said the channel was not in my package. I have Uverse with ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNews and I signed up for ESPN+. Tonight's game is not on the ESPN+ schedule.

I don't know where you are seeing that it is on ESPN+ because when I look, it does not show up in the upcoming list. I know it is on SEC network but I don't get SEC network in my cable package. You can't watch SEC network unless it is part of your tv package. It is not included with ESPN+.

Good list but I don't see us having the depth to full court press.

True that depth is a concern with Matos done. But judicial use of the press so far this season has led to some pretty encouraging results. I’d at least like to see what happens if we try it. We definitely have the athletes to pull it off.

I have been basically inactive on here since last season. I know that AG is not the answer and have stated that since his hire. Hopefully this is the first of many debacles by the Flyers this year so he can be sent packing.

I realize most of you won't like this but at some point its better to cut your losses and move on to the next chapter.

After Coach K, Rick Pitino, and John Cheney coming out of retirement all turned us down, we had to take the 4th best option.

We are on the road against #8, with a short bench thanks to the mass exodus of bad attitudes and those who were better served trying to play pro ball all brought in by the previous coach. Up until tonight, we have competed and either led or been within a couple of point in the final minutes in all three of our losses 2 of which are against nationally ranked teams and the other against a team who soon could be.

Relax, give AG time, enjoy life, and enjoy watching our flyers grow and become better game by game heading into A-10 play.
