the question I have been wondering ever since we lost to Ohio State:
Will Charles Little, as the lone Senior, step up and be a leader on this team?
Will or is he showing this leadership with work ethic in practice?

Lowery is not bashful about shooting. Not controling the boards.

Other than that runner from Thomas, the Flyer points are not doing a good job of penetrating the lane. And the passing overall is shaky. Defense has looked decent, though.

Once again, lots of athleticism, very little shooting ability. Also, foul shooting, turnovers, good rebounding are hurting. Can you imagine if we were playing UMass.

Defense has been very good......offense is very ragged! Forget the missed shots, the "O" does not look good at all. CAn a D-2 team be that good on "D"?

Bucky's word was "crisp" as in the "the offense is not very crisp".

Offense looks a lot like it did in the first exhibition against Capital - when they get out and run or when they collapse the lane the offense looks like it can go however when they set up there seems to be too many guys flat footed and the flow goes away

We aren't rebounding very either. That has to be a concern. We are not shooting the ball well but that aside, the offense has no flow to it. I think, hope, that will improve. Looks like Lowery is trying to do too much.......forcing things. Their big guy was out for most of the half.

Bucky just called London over to him, and London said something like "We're not getting the ball to the d*mn post area. "
Instant classic. Thank goodness for open mics during breaks.

Much better flow this half. Still shaky, but they're making some things happen. Chris Wright has at least a couple of assists tonight on nice feeds into the post.

We are not rotating from the weak side when they go baseline. Have to correct that.

I think the camera person may have consumed a couple of Bud Light's at halftime! Several times the camera is focused on the foul line at the other end of the court from where the action is.

That last possession that resulted in a Searcy layup was nice offense. Fabrizious will see a lot of time if he can shoot like he has tonight!

By my count, that was the 56th jump ball of the game.

we need to find a way to get wright the ball more...he scores in the low teens just by accident but if we would focus on getting him the ball in a position to make plays he would score an extra 6-10 ppg.
with all of the depth and talent i feel like we are 'winging it' a little too much. its leading to sloppiness, TOs, and the wrong guys shooting the ball sometimes.
im sure it would have been better with london so who knows...

57% foul shooting and 20 TOs is not going to get it done. Other than Luke's 4-6, 1-9 three point shooting is also going to make it tough against a team that won't let the Flyers play an inside game. Outside shooting is still a problem for this team.

Who would of thought we would miss London. He would have definitely helped. I'm inpressed with Paul Johnson's and Lukes play but we definitely need to work on our offense against zone defense. We were standing around like last year with only two men moving and we can't do that- shades of missing B-Rob.

Most disappointing thing was that we could not get the running game going. We tried to force it a few times, and turned it over.

Did Little do anything tonight? I know people are expecting a bunch, but I am not. I just want some hustle out of him. If he does that, he will be fine. Was there any emotion out there?

I don't know if the defensive intensity showed through to everyone, but I thought it was pretty good. MJ really set the tone defensively. Look, I know it was an exhibition game, but we had 10 steals. Last season, we would go a month without 10 steals. I also remember late in the game, we had 3 straight blocks on their big man.
The offense was very ragged especially in the first half. During that period, however, our defense helped us maintain the lead. Rebounding still concerns me. It was like we were a step slow going after the board. CW still looks raw at times.
FT shooting was ok - until late. Kurt bricked 4 straight at the end of the game. Little looks so much better at the line. CJ looked good at the line as well. He will be on the floor in late game situations.
Overall, some good and some bad. Most pleasant surprise - Luke. It is amazing what a big man shooter can do to impact the game. Three items I saw. First, high ball screen and his defender hedges out. Luke fades out for an easy (for him) trey. Second, on the entry pass to Kurt - If Luke is on the same side of the court his man cannot double down. He must stay with Luke - gives Kurt more room to maneuver. Third, high ball screen and defender stays with Luke. Free throw line is now open for a high/low pass. All 3 happened in a span of about 5 minutes in the second half.
Big concern - who is our go-to player at crunch time? Don't see anybody yet.

The guy next to me said the same thing. I guess thed fact that I knew what he was talking about and agreed makes me an old-timer.

I might have not seen this properly being at the other end of the floor, but I think I saw my first double block tonight. The Gannon big man tried a turnaround jumper and CW and Searcy both seemed to have both hands on the ball. It was like a couple of volleyball players making a block at the net. I had to chuckle a little at that rejection.
