NCAA seedings
As of today the (mediocre) Dayton flyers have a RPI of 45 and are projected to be an 11 seed in the NCAA tournament, most likely playing tOSU should they get that seed.
Also our mediocre Dayton flyers who are tied with GW for the regular season champions and the Number 1 seed are still alive and will be fighting for the A-10 championship and auto bid to the NCAA. GW as of today is predicted to be a 10 seed.
Have to admit being confused with Maddog being upset Shauna Green didn't get COY, but then thinks this team is just mediocre. From What little I know no D1 coach deserves COY coaching a mediocre team.
My red tinted crystal ball projects UD to win the A-10 and get a higher seed than GW. Seem A-10 could have two teams in the tourney. SLU has the better record but played a light non con schedule and has an RPI of 105, so they must win it all to get to the dance.
GW RPI is 47.
Dayton, the Atlantic 10 co-champion, is 45th in the RPI, and Crème projects them as an 11 seed this week with fellow A-10 member George Washington a 10 seed.

My comments on Green is that she was the best coach in the A10. Our league was terrible, really really terrible, not mediocre. We are ranked 12th in RPI behind the Ivy ( they don't have scholarships!) Colonial ( powers like Elon &Towson) Summit ( blue bloods like Omaha and Western Illinois) and MAC ( lot of directional Schools)
No incongruity here.

I think UD needs to get to the finals to have a realistic NCAA at-large chance. A grand total of two wins vs the RPI Top-100 all season. That's about a thin as it gets w/o having any at all.

Just win the A-10 tourney and end the guessing. It starts today against VCU and my favorite name in the league - GG Goodhope.

earlier in the season it was hard to imagine them having a chance of an at large bid. Being an 11 seed isn't bad. I would bet that many six seeds would prefer not to play us
I don't think this is a mediocre team if everyone is healthy, particularly if Lauren is playing well. If the team can have three days of making good shots that are available they have a chance of winning the tournament. Shauna said that they have spent a lot of practice time shooting
