It is the 80% free throw that causes that.

Why didn't all the Seniors start for this game? Was there a reason? If not, that is very disappointing! BG was always a class act when it came to those things.

Could it be that this was precious game that had some effect on seeding and A10 tourney? that's my only guess.

Re: all seniors not starting
Based on what I have observed this year, I think he decided to be all business and start who he would normally start, to keep focused on the game and to limit starting the game with emotions too high.
It was more important to send them out with a win(which we haven't done the last two years). He made sure they were all in near the end of the game so that they could come out together and recieve their ovation. He also brought them all out with him to start his interview on the post game show.

I was very disappointed in not seeing all the seniors start. Its not like they are walk-ons or bench fillers. I have seen programs start walk-ons and pull them 30 seconds into the game. I thought it was a rookie mistake made by a rookie coach. Sure hope he learns the right way to do things like this.

This isn't CYO basketball. These are men that can handle not starting. I was glad to see Luke make the 3 near the end to get in the scoring bonanza.

I have absolutely no problem not starting them. I guarantee Luke will remember his last shot more than not starting. AM put them all in at the end - and called a dummy timeout so they all got a curtain call. Handled just fine by my book.

You are in the minority here. He handled it just fine. As a matter of fact he allowed Luke a chance to get on the board and gave them a nice curtain call at the end. You could see the tears in Luke's eyes. Also, nice to finally have a winning conference record-even with a short-handed team.

No issue at all. Flyers are a very precarious bunch that can beat most teams on their schedule by 20 or lose by that and it was vital for AM to keep aggression going and , more importantly, not to allow GW to start feeling good about themselves.

Didn't see the game, but according to the espn boxscore it says Devin started. That's who we want out there now right?
Soph getting more minutes and steady development the past 8 to 10 games. Brings more and has more tools than Fabs too.
So def the right thing.

pulling them 30 secs into the game ruins your start of game flow Tom. Is it nice and honorable thing to do? yes.
Does it or could it effect the game and outcome? It very much could.
Things worked out well, and they all got a curtain call i was glad to hear.

Off from starter thing, while i certainly don't PM him - Paul Williams posted some very motivated things on his facebook status friday and Sat morning.
This guy wants to win and go out strong. Looked like he was focused yesterday and he 's hungry for more EGGS bear and such this coming week.
Get PW, Oliver, Kavs and company fired up - and we have a good shot at two or three Wins!
