Tickets behind the basket?
I got tickets behind the hoop, up in the handicap section. ( Which is an improvement from last year in the 400 section)
When the team who has the ball towads the nearest hoop towards you can you still see the ball going through the net? I havent sat behind the basket before and was just woundering thanks.

I guess it really depends how good your eyes are.
I'm sure some people have no problem well others might have a problem sitting in the first row of the 100 section.

I have been behind the backboard before. Of course it is transparent except for the frame, padding and shot clock. The biggest problem I have with it is the lack of good depth perception if you are "straight on" behind the board. It's hard to see plays develop in the key with the obstructions too. I think i would prefer it to the 300 section though. The seats are relatively close.

As far as seeing the plays develop the first row of the 300 section at center court is your best bet.
Saying that I still will still take my seats in sec 102.

I've sat about everywhere in the arena, so I think I can provide decent perspective.
To me, the high 200s and low 300s are the best seats in the house for seeing the action as a whole. Being in the 100s is cool for the experience and clout it brings. Nothing wrong with the 400s, but it does get hot up there when the place is full.
Behind the bucket but up high are good seats, IMO. You can see plays develop and you can see action at the far end pretty well.

I have been all over the Arena too and these are my observations from the places I have been:
100's mid-court (7 rows up) - You really get a feel for how big and strong division 1 players are at this level. Move up into the 200's and you start to lose appreciation for that. You hear the officials, the coaches and angry enemy fans behind the opponents bench. You see every detail of the game. Hand-checking, elbows, etc.
200's mid-court - Good location for seeing the bigger picture of plays developing, picks, etc.
200's corners - I like the 45 degree angle I get at the corner where I have sat in the low 200's. I get a good view of what is happening with both benches and coaches with a panoramic view of both sides of the Arena crowd. This has become maybe my favorite spot.
300's - I had never been in the 300's until a few years ago. I wanted to get a feel of how good they were. I liked them. You get the whole picture feel with much less detail than the 200's.
400's - I've been up there mostly only for the big games where I couldn't get my hands on a lower ticket. This is where the real die hard fans reside. I enjoy watching the crowd up there as much as the game. The players are just figures with no faces at that distance. Passionate fans up there, and equally passionate about their beer and pretzels. When the place is full and rocking, I get an adrenaline rush up there. It feels like you are watching from a cave it is so dark up there. I like that. It's like going to a movie.
200 behind the basket - Nice and close to the court, but I did not like the difficulty in judging distance. Players look very packed together in the lane, and it's hard to see that close action in there.
Box Seats - The luxury boxes have two rows of seats and then a bar with stools behind them. I was suprised at how much I enjoyed that location. You really look right down on the tops of the players, so much so, that there is a pane of glass as the railing, and you watch the game through it in the first row. I thought it would be distracting, but forgot it was there when the game started. The food is excellent up there as well. You can't find a better people watching spot. You are in the eagles nest up there.

Amen to that. I have my tickets in the 400's and it doesn't get much better than being up in the rafters with the rowdy die hards. My section is always full no matter who we play, what the weather is like etc.
