Did we just lose 5 games today?
Because if we did, we are out of the dance. Otherwise, we are 9-10.

They don't give us enough respect to drop us to a 10. We are either an 8 or 9 or we are nit bound. Can't say I can put up a big argument against that logic. We still probably over achieved after the loss of Steve and Josh's early injury. I guess I should be thankful but I'm stlll heartbroken. I need to get to xbrews place of nirvana.

I was just going to say I need someone to help me care about this less. I'm just so ticked I can't even see straight. I have a headache.
Yet it was so predictable. Reminds me of the Bengals that one year they played a meaningless final regular season game against the Jets and got smoked, and then came out in the playoffs and got smoked again.

I don't care what seed we get at this point but do care that we aren't playing very well right now.

LOL. I definitely can.
This is an absurd claim. You have to assume basically that there is collusion in the committee, and also that the committee somehow views the 8/9 seed as worse than a 10 or 11. Yes it's true that maybe probability-wise you have a better chance to get to the second weekend from a 10 or 11, but the committee isn't thinking about this. To assume the committee would say "well, since they're not quite good enough to be the 8 or 9, and we don't respect them, better leave them out altogether for some other less-deserving bubble team."
I mean come on man, we're in, just a matter of seeding.

Good teams can win a regular season conference championship.
Great teams win their conference tournament.

I think I might step away until the bracket is revealed...when I'll return with a vengeance to decry the grave injustice inflicted upon our plucky band of underdogs at the hands of the Power 5 Oppressors!

Hello...it's happened to a lot of otherwise good teams who fade at the end! I will be sitting on pins and needles until I see "Dayton" on the board. Right now, we are team in decline and the NCAA can see that.

I'm more concerned with their level of effort/urgency/focus to start games. The switch back to KD starting has not worked. I feel like it messed up the substitution pattern Archie was using before the VCU game. Hopefully Archie can reinsert Darrell for the next game if he is okay after getting nailed by another screen today.

I'd be okay with a grave injustice of a 10 or 11 seed.

It has happened before that the committee decided that a team would either be an 8/9 seed or left out entirely? Like they literally said if a team falls below 8/9 they would leave them out instead of giving a 10 or 11? That's some tin-foil-hat stuff.

I'm in the minority here, but the outcome of this game means very little to me. We're in. Everything else is/would be gravy.
I am disappointed that our intensity hasn't been there the last two games. I do kind of understand it though. If they don't bring intensity in the NCAA tournament then I'll will be in a similar state of anger/freak out as many on this board.
We can go through endless permutations of how we might get a better draw. The fact is, if we show up for 2 halves of the first tourney game, we'll win. Doesn't matter if we're a 6,7,8,9,10 or 11. Also regardless of seed the second game is likely to be tough. If we get a good matchup we can make a run. Just like every other team there.

I won't relax because we rack up wins almost every year, but we've won two conference tournaments in like 30 years. Let that sink in.....2 for 30. Our success rate is less than 7%. We do this every single stinking year in our conference tournament and I'm tired of it.
Winning the conference tournament is one of a few pillars of success to base a season on. I'd take 18-12 and a conference tournament championship versis 24-6 and losing like that as the 1-seed.

Rather win 3 games in the A10 tournament or the NCAA tournament? Wins in the NCAA are how seasons are remembered and pillars of success are built.

Oh, I didn't know we were given wins in the dance for losing today. Now I'm much happier.

I would bet that overall teams that enter the NCAA tournament on a multi-game win streak do better than teams entering with a losing streak

I bet you're right. BUT, plenty of teams every year lay a major egg in the conference tournaments and then make a run in the Dance. The A 10 is one of the last conference tourneys to wrap up, then a short turnaround and the champion will have to play 4 or 5 games in 8 or 9 days (with significant travel) to win a game in the NCAA tourney (I kind of wish the A 10 would wrap it up on Saturday).
Just off the top of my head, Syracuse lost 4 of its last 5 games last season, then lost in the first round of the conference tourney, then ran to the Final Four...
