Got outshot and out rebounded, but made 11 more freethrows than them.

On the postgame, Archie was very critical of our poor defense.

Yeah, and if they had lost this game, everyone would have been critical also. But the fact remains that this team has given every thing they have for this coaching staff, and you know what, I don't give a shizit if they are young, they are getting tired because of all the minutes they are logging, and that not only affects shooting but how one plays defense.

I was at the game, Jack, and it was actually worse than it looked. You could tell we were going to turn over the ball because we were forcing passes. Sibert tried to force that one into Pollard and it was going to be picked right from the start.

Fall in love with the three...and it'll catch up with you.
Also, the ESPN announcers in the final minute of the game, when Pollard drew the charge under our basket and turned it over, said something to this effect: "it was almost like they invited him in, wasn't it?"
Indeed, that's what I thought too. They just backed off him and invited him to drive. Every coach from here on out is going to let Pollard get a head of steam and then double team him in the lane because he is so predictable. When he starts for the basket he isn't going to pass off and he will go up for the shot.
Archie needs to talk to the young man.

St Joes played way above their heads and we had a number of mental mistakes. Luckily we still won - could have lost very easily and the season would have come down with it. Luckily we made enough plays to win and St Joes found a way to lose. They haven't and won't shoot like that again from the 3 this year. Take the W and move on to the next game. Duquesne doesn't have a Bembry. He is really good. I want his hair.

Couldn't agree more that Archie needs to talk to the young man...22 points,
8 rebounds, 7-8 FGM...coming off an injury...and tell him how proud the Flyer
Nation is of him....

OK, you are right. He had a splendid game and we couldn't have won without him.
But don't you think the announcers were onto something? He is getting predictable. That can be used against us.

Heard some of the game and noticed Bucky was absent. Did they say why? Hope he is ok.
