Tremont Waters

What Tom Ostrom is to McKinley Wright, new UD assistant Anthony Solomon is to Tremont Waters, a PG and the 36th ranked 2017 recruit in the country. He has his release from Georgetown. So might as well get this started.

As excited as we were over the #224 recruit, we now have a glimmer of hope in bringing in #36? Huge. "Tremont, this is Anthony Grant calling. I can't promise you a starting position, but I want you to know I have ZERO point guards on my roster and Ant Solomon and I need you to extend our streak of 4 straight NCAA tournaments." In AG I trust.

Waters took official visits to Gtown, Indiana, Kentucky, and Kansas. Some of those are decent bball schools

Oh snap! That's a blast from the past. I believe the once great Eddie Sutton, unless I don't.

“When that happened, it was a set-up,” Sutton said. “Who would send money like that? And an overnight package somehow opens up? You need a crowbar to open those things.”

WKU already has a monster class. This would be quite the addition for them.

They are going to be scary good, with or without him, over the next couple of seasons. Would love for UD to get them on the schedule.

I read Patrick Ewing has met with Tremont and told him that he wants to run an offense at Georgetown that would let him be a "Kemba Walker" type player. UCONN and Georgetown still on him in addition to many Blueblood programs. I'd love to think we could land him, but don't think we will.

That being said - I think McKinley wants to "be the man". Crosby's departure virtually guarantees it. I'd bet money he figures that out over the next few weeks.

I will wager a nice cold beer you are wrong, payable at a game early next season. Even if I lose the bet, we win!

As long as I am wrong about Waters I won't mind being wrong about McKinley.

George Town just signed another PG - So basically no chance of Waters going to the Hoyas.

Not sure what you are basing that on...if you watch him play, he doesn't care if he's "the man" or not. Late in the game he wanted the ball (as good players should), but throughout the game he is just as interested in getting teammates involved as he was scoring.

In addition to his 22.8 ppg he also averaged 7.4 assists and 8 rebounds. He is a hard working blue collar player who just wants to win. Backing out of his NLI after Archie left does not make him an ego driven player that needs to be "the man".
