Off-topic, massive layoffs and buyouts at ESPN

http://www.breitbart.com/sports/2017...it-next-month/

Report: Massive ESPN Layoffs, Contract Buyouts Expected to Hit Over the Next Month

This could impact the future makeup of conferences as cord cutting seems to be hurting the amount of $ available for sports on tv.

I was interested in this topic until I saw your link is from Breitbart...

And before someone bashes me as a liberal....I'm far from that.

Agree...there was nothing political about the article. It was just a straight-forward, non-political reporting of the situation.

This is what happens when a business begins injecting itself into politics. I can't for the life of me understand why businesses decide to do this. It really doesn't matter what side you are on, you are going to alienate millions of people by doing so.

I never go to their website anymore, and only watch them when one of my teams is playing on their channel, simply because I got sick of their politics. I watch sports as an escape from all of that. If I want politics, I'll go somewhere else. It's not that hard to understand.

I feel bad for those who are getting laid off who played no part in it, but I have no sympathy whatsoever for them as a business, or for those in charge.

Mike and Mike in the morning is the only 'show' I care to patronize. The occasional 30:30 is worth watching, but they are few and far between. Everything else is just opinions that I don't care to hear. I want highlights...more Strongest Man competitions...and hula-hoop contests!

Why? Hula hoops look the same from every angle.
