Much respect to Dayton
This is a diehard OU Sooners fan here, just wanted to say you guys have an incredible team and an even better coach. When you guys were up 49-40 I was afraid my team's season was coming to a close. You guys gave us all we wanted, and then some. Appeared to me that you guys are well-coached, and have athletes and shooters, and that's a combination that would have allowed you to hang with just about any team in the tourney tight. Congratulations on a memorable season in 2014-2015, and best of luck in the future.

Thanks for the gracious post, but it won't stop THE OSU football team from stomping you into the ground in '16-'17 and '17-18!!!

Back at you Sooner fan. I watched almost every game this year. The Sooners were the BEST team that UD played all year. Our players held their heads high because they played hard, but they ran into a better team on Sunday.
You have a very good coach as well.
Do us a favor and prove that we lost a very, very good team by going to the Final Four!

IMO Kruger is one of the best coaches in college basketball. He has been successful everywhere he has been without a hint of trouble. His only misstep was going to the NBA.

I respect and appreciate Oklahoma's game against us.
But if OU wins the region, I am going to be sick about our missed opportunity.

Ditto that Sea BAss. Classy guy, very good coach. Glad he has the Sooners back on track.
Good luck to you guys!

SDF - Wayman Tisdale died May 15, 2009 after a two year battle with bone cancer. He was 45.
He followed a 12 year NBA career with a successful music career as a contemporary jazz artist.
According to wikipedia, "Tisdale said his musical influences included the funk bands of the 1970s"
Also: "Tisdale became the first player in any sport to have his jersey number (23) retired by the University of Oklahoma in 1997. . . The outstanding freshman award in the NCAA is named the Wayman Tisdale Award."

Yes Glen. I was referring to the memorable upset of the Sooners that no one saw coming that made Wayman a Dayton fan. He was quoted as such and seemed to take the loss a lot less seriously than his fellow Sooners. Actually was fairly gracious.

IMO, Kruger is the one of the most underrated college basketball coaches in the game. I've been saying that for years. It's unfortunate that he continually flies under the radar whenever there is discussion about the game's best.

I don't know how to create a post, so this is the best old one I could find. This past weekend another 1968 graduate and I went back to UD. I think the last time we were there was for a 35 year reunion in 2003. For all of you out there, who are not Dayton residents or live close by, and have not been to UD in years, YOU MUST GO. I cannot believe how much the school has grown and how classy and beautiful the campus and surrounding areas ( Ghetto, NCR, Brown Street) are. The campus was very quiet and we walked around and into many building. I can't imagine how much money the school has put into the campus, landscaping, new buildings, refurbishing old buildings. If you told me $100 million, I could not disagree. My wife, who is not a UD graduate, said that this is what a college campus should look like. I missed the hustle and bustle of when school is in session but the trip was well worth it. We managed to hit Kramers, Flanagans, Tanks. Timothys did not open until 10 or 11PM??? so we did not get in there. I would love to be there again when school is in session and during basketball season. Figure out a way to get there, even if for only a weekend, but go back and see UD.

I am out since '76 but have managed to get back once a year for a B-Ball game so I have seen the changes over the years. I keep hoping the university stumbles across some old records that say I and my housemates from Lowes need to come back for one more semester.

This post reminds me of a T shirt I saw a UD woman wearing a few years ago during graduation week. On the shirt it said,
"When they told us we wouldn't want to leave, we laughed,
When they finally told us we had to go, we cried."

I was referring to the open spaces that were NCR. Reps at the Marriott said that it is now "owned" by the school but I don't know. Is the DDN building on NCR \ school prop? The GE building is very nice. I like the way building construction throughout the school area uses the old "brick" type look so that the buildings blend in looking older but actually brand new. I did look at the fairgrounds and that is a very big piece of property.
