Visiting Team
Our Flyers don't even get to use their own locker room or training room. They are the visiting team. To say they have a little edge about them is the understatement of the year.
I am happy that we are in the tournament, but this is the worse selection committee decision ever.
What's worse flying across the country to play in someone's arena or having your opponent fly in and sleep in your bed?

And no student section. Takes some of the home court advantage away. Sleep in our own beds, use visitors locker room etc. One more chnace to see Siebert play in the arena. Chance to keep home court win streak alive...oh wait will that count since we are the visitors.

Are there tickets held for only students for both schools? If so and Boise doesn't sell their amount, do the rest go to UD or is it open to the public? Anyone know how this works?
I'm also assuming our in-arena announcer guy (sorry, don't know his name) will have to play it neutral as well. For example, he can't go: "Dyyyyshawn Piiiiiiieeeerrrre!!!!" when DP scores a bucket.

I also heard the NCAA has removed UD's regular scorer's table personnel from the Dayton-Boise St. game and are using Wright State's personnel. That's going overboard if you ask me.

Same thing happened in '85 when we were the visitors to Villanova.

Wow. That is overboard. They are saying these people can't be professional?

That's Jeff Stevens. He's the morning guy on Mix 107.7. I wonder if the NCAA will replace him too.

I think it is a good move, don't need a "home cooking" claim should a tight situation occur.

I'm just hoping that being in the visitors locker room before the game and at the half is gonna be a motivating thing and not a distraction. Definitely gonna be a weird feeling for the guys.

They're the lower seed, so technically the "visitors".

I think there is some confusion about the locker room situation.
There are 4 locker rooms in UD Arena plus 2 basketball locker rooms and the football locker room in the Donoher Center.
UD may have to use one of those smaller locker rooms in the Arena, but it's not like Boise State is going to be in the lap of luxury hanging out in the UD locker room playing video games.
There's nothing stopping UD from using the Cronin Center as well.
There is a diagram on page 71 of the NCAA manual that shows where everything happens.

This is exactly right. There are four lower level locker rooms used by the teams during the tourney. UD's main locker room is always given to officials and NCAA staff. The women's main locker room is used as a women's rest room. The football locker room is turned into a large media room. As for the team using the locker room on the lower level, they use one before the each game and at halftime. It will not be any different for them during the games. The only difference will be they will get dressed down by the floor instead of getting dressed and walking down the ramp.

They aren't in their own beds. They checked into a hotel by the Dayton Mall yesterday evening.
