An interesting tidbit from today's DDN- Who leads the A-10 in field goal percentage during conference games? The answer-Kavs at 61.4%. The young man has really picked it up since his injury.

Such negativity. I have been one of the more negative Flyer fans, but winning begets winning so let's go with it and BELIEVE! Everything is AWESOME! Everything is cool when you're part of a team!

How many times have the 2013-2014 Flyers lost at St. Joe? Because that is really all that matters. This team has shown it can win Road/Neutral games, the past teams could not.

You quote todays DDN
Interesting fact you mention.
Too bad so many UDPriders don't get the DDN or pay for the electronic version
NOTE: Only problem is along with Kav's 61% FG % Kav has also fumbled passes to the post 61% of the time

No, but what they have done since 2001 has nothing to do with this current team. I am not saying they will win tonight. But thinking past have will affect tonight is not fair to the current team.

Exactly. 5 straight road games against Rhode Island didn't have any effect on us losing this year. Should I even mention a certain president?

Yup....not too much to analyze here. Be dedicated to play D on every play, make St. Joe's work for every inch of floor, every lose ball, every board right from the get-go. That will be the only way to win tonight in Philly.
Be tougher than they are, all night long and come home with the W. If not, they only have themselves to blame because St. Joe's isn't any more talented than our Flyers. Just a matter of who brings 'em tonight.

How many times in the last 10 years have we been at this exact spot? One huge game that could be THE GAME that gets us on the right side of the bubble.
Obviously there is lots of work to do but this is the game that could vault us into a position where we are on the inside of the bubble the rest of the year rather than on it or on the outside looking in.
Losing tonight makes it very difficult to get into the dance without winning at St Louis or wining the conference.
Will the curse be broken tonight? Will we look back at this game five years from now as a pivotal moment in the change of direction of the program?
We can dream can't we?

This is winnable. Martelli will have his men ready to play. This cannot be a game like the last 2. We go down by 10-14 and it's over. On the bright side - I think this team believes in itself and the seniors desperately want an NCAA appearance so they know what's at stake in this game. Agree with all sentiment on this thread - WIN. This game, you're at 20 wins before February ends and that's what get you talk. This is probably one of the key matches for today in college basketball. They win this and I think only St. Louis is a regular season loss and a 9-1 over last 10- a "hot" or "peaking" team in the eyes of the selection committee. Your time has arrived DMO, make your mark!

I'll keep saying the same thing I have been, it's not that I get upset with the team when they lose, it's how lose. No hustle, no effort, not sense of urgency, no toughness. This team is better than this. How can this team be this unprepared for this big of a game? It's just totally unacceptable.
They were beat the minute they stepped on the court tonight. I just don't get it. The most frustrating Flyer team I can remember. I'm ready for the season to be over, and that upsets me.

How would you like to be a walk - on on this team watching some of the worst basketball ever from the pine?

They were beat the minute they stepped on the court tonight. I just don't get it. The most frustrating Flyer team I can remember. I'm ready for the season to be over, and that upsets me.

Poor preparation by the coaching staff. They need to reevaluate their entire system. It's not working. We aren't competitive with the top 6 or so teams in the conference. Our defense is atrocious; turnovers are too prevalent; and Archie is lost.

72-42...Archie, put in the freshmen and move on from this game. Whatever you did to prepare for this game, do the complete opposite for the next.

I just happened to be traveling to Philly today and was trying to get to the game but ended up watching in a local pub. So glad I was not in the house for that performance!

Has been a while since UD has played a respectable effort at St. Joes. Way too many games over the years have been like tonight in that gym.
Made St. Joes look like a Final Four team tonight.

Were just middling like we've been since BG year 1. Streak was against the bottom of the league.

Collectively, the trio above had 10 points! These 3 are the seniors. They've been through the grind of the season. They played against Phil Martelli on the road in Philly. DO gave a solid effort. Kavs and Vee contributed 2 points combined. Although it's a team effort, this is when your seniors step-up in game and show some leadership on the court. There was no leadership.
We got schooled by a veteran team with a great coach. They were prepared. We showed-up like a team playing a pick-up game in Summer League.

Looks like I won't be needing that interpreter as I review the St. Joe's box score.

This is what I have been saying most of the season. Small schools need classes to come together and they need Seniors to play their best.
Let's look at our team last night...
DMO double double 4/8 but ZERO foul shot attempts..
Kavs 0/3 no foul shots
Vee 2 points 1/7 no foul shots
Juniors
Sibert- 3 points 1/8 no fouls shots
Gav- 3 points 1/1 2 foul shots
Players to watch:
Pierre 3/11 6 points no foul shots
Our starters shot ZERO free throws last night. Whats that tell you...No one was taking the ball to the basket. They were being dictated what to do and not the other way around. Hence why you shoot 30%. Its starts with a mentality, its starts with the coach and the seniors

Whatever he picked up earlier he dropped last night.

He really picked-up his game last night by taking 3 shots last night.....Oh wait he had 4 rebounds.

SJU had a smart enough post defender (Kanacevic) that didn't go for any move and simply stayed on his left shoulder. When Kavs came back to his left shoulder Kanacevic was there to block it without leaving his feet.
