Ohio State (NCAA 2nd Round) Game Thread
I thought I would get this thread out there bright and early... What an accomplishment for this team after the 1-5 start... Unreal... They Deserve It!
Now show Rat Face the reason why he has been ducking us all these years, take it to Airball "The Most Overrated Player in D-1" Craft... We got this!
Starting Lineup:
G Aaron Craft 6'2" 195 SR Findlay, OH
G Lenzelle Smith Jr. 6'4" 210 SR Zion, IL
F Sam Thompson 6'7" 200 JR Chicago, IL
F LaQuinton Ross 6'8" 220 JR Jackson, MS
C Amir Williams 6'11" 250 JR Detroit, MI
Win it for Archie and Jordan!
Reminder game is on Thursday at 12:15 on CBS with Verne and Bill on the call from Buffalo. The first game (non first four) is ours.
Extend the season... Go Flyers!
Oh yeah as a UM Fan too... BEAT OHIO

Craft is far from over-rated. He is the best defender we will face all year.

For how he is portrayed around the country as the 2nd coming of god lol... he is definitely overrated. One of the worst shots in America plus the only reason why he is a good defender is because of the clutching, grabbing (which never get called) he does the entire game.
I can't stand him.

Here's an article from a UD grad that's worth a read:
http://www.newarkadvocate.com/articl...nclick_check=1
Here's an article from yahoo sports about each teams dream scenerio and nightmare scenerio in this tournament. I hesitate to post it, only because when looking at who they listed for Dayton's Key win makes me seriously question how much research or general basketball knowledge the writer of this article has.

Do any of you think that Archie has spent some time this week working on a zone defense that they might spring at an opportune moment? I really think that this might possibly happen. You have to do what gives your team its best chance to win and if trying to go zone in this game does that for you I think it is worth Archie's consideration.

What's the deal this year with tourney web streaming? Did it some last year. Was pretty cool. Not sure if I'm closing the door to my office and watching or if I'm taking a long lunch...

Good start!
12-9
14:51 to go.
Actually, the start was really really bad... fouls, misses, turnovers and down 5-0. But now on a 12-4 run.

What was the offensive foul call a few minutes ago? At a bar and couldn't tell if it was on DO.

Scoochie had a lazy pass near the end of the half - when there was about a minute or two left. Nobody got to it, but lack of crispness was not a good thing.

Good First Half
UD is playing with poise and confidence so far. My only concern is that our Freshmen are playing like Freshmen and making mistakes. They need to look to pass rather than score and not take bad shots. Go Flyers!

33-30 at the half good guys. I was hoping to pull away, but all things considered, not too bad. My tOSU fans here are telling me tOSU is a second half team that often comes out of the gate on a mission. I hope we can shut them down and hit some shots. This is a game that we can and frankly should win. I would love to see a 15 point win, but ultimately, one point will do. A little worried about fouls, but that is nothing new for us.

Why play Davis? He is not needed against a poor offensive team and gives no half court offense. On the other hand pollard can help with post up, defense and rebounds

We need to smack them in the mouth to begin the second half. After the slow start, Flyers are playing like they expect to win. Lets put them away.

Keys to the second half...
1. Stop the dribble drive
2. Work the ball into the pant on O. We actually have an advantage down low. I think can even post up Sibert and Pierre.

One more thing, I don't even think His Majesty can find fault with #35's effort so far. Could be huge factor in second half.

That is a four point swing that may come back to bite them. Not sure how Devin missed that pass

Devin and Scoochie: Protect the basketball. A 4 on 1 and it turns into a 4-point turnaround. Then we throw the ball away. Scoochie needs to relax with a few minutes on the bench.

Only able to watch the pastfew minutes during a break in a meeting at a hotel. The Flyers seem to do better when I don't watch so for the good of the team, I am going back into the meeting.
Go Flyers!

Problem is, they're killing themselves--it's not OSU's defense that's causing them play this out of control

8 to go. Time for the boys to leave everything on the court. You know OSU is going to play LOCK DOWN D the rest of the way, so UD needs to share the ball, get stops, rebound, and MAKE FREE THROWS!!

Last 2 times I got pulled away from the game, I came back and we were up. Maybe I should try that again. Because when I'm watching we fall behind.
