Evansville
Evansville is 1-7 and has a pretty big negative difference in points scored versus giving up. If there is any team on this schedule we should whip up on, it is the Purple Aces.
I really would love to see a blowout so that Skeens and Davidson get in the mix for some playing time. They cannot be that bad to sit this bench game in and game out with how we have been playing.
Go Flyers!

The interesting side story to this is the reason Simon arranged this game before he left. The Evansville Coach was a student manager for the UD women's team until 2007 graduation. He was then an assistant coach at Akron and he's in his third year leading the Purple Aces. So yes it will obviously be a blow out with a chance to see some of the players who don't normally get in, but it's a rare Saturday night game and it would be great to see more than the typical 2000 people show up.

Fowler is not dressed. Evansville lost a player during warmups.
Already rough and it hasn't started.

First thought was she may have been distracted by all the ugly Christmas sweaters but I’m not seeing too many uglier than the Evansville purple!

What was that about? Someone dunk during warmups.
Probably a book entry error, like a wrong number.

Quite a start. Can’t score at all. 1 for 9 vs one of the worst teams in the solar system.

It is once again Scaife, 1-1, against the world. The rest are 0-8 with no defense.

Pathetic start...I do like Giacone running the point. She is ready to blow past the girl defending her.

Bradshaw playing terrible again! Maybe we should have seen her play, or the two joco girls or Ward, instead of reading their press clippings. They were all top draw — until they got here. WTH??

Good comeback by playing defense. Down 16 to 3 and have reeled off 11 straight. Gaspar is gassed as already Dayton is working on her hard.
16 to 14 after 1 quarter.

Some rebounds on the offensive end would be helpful as well.

Up 24 to 19 at media timeout. I think Giacone has more shots today than all of her career combined. Would like to see her post up her defender.

34 to 21 Flyers at the half. Scaife is playing the kind of game we need. Cannatelli is playing well to.

Played much better later against a horrible Evansville. Think coach may have had a few choice words. But.. we are a bad team in need of a lot of work to contend in conference. What happened to Fowler?

69-30 Final. All 14 available players played and all scored. Evansville is a bad bad team.

69 to 30 final.
Good defense all game. Davidson needs to play more in my opinion.
Good luck against Virginia Tech

Nice to see every single player scored.
I watched Skeens pretty closely and she looks like a good player. Six rebounds in 9 minutes, and she looked strong on defense and pretty confident on offense. Not afraid to drive and shoot. Lost the dribble in traffic once, but I think she will get better and we will see more minutes for her.

Weird game. Aces scored more points (16) in the first 6:29 than they scored (14) in the last 33:31 of the game.

Cannatelli moves up another spot in career scoring to #24 with 1029 -- 34 away from #23 Kendel Ross (1063).

Finished on a 66-14 run. That doesn't happen very often. Differences in skill level sure is pronounced in WBB. Talent pool is smaller and tends to drift to the top schools year in and year out. Given the realities of recruiting and available talent, the Flyers do a good job of competing year in and year out.

This was one of those situations I felt so sorry for that team and we should feel grateful that UD hasn't been like that since Coach Jabir took over the program and Shauna has continued the success. After years of success it appears George Washington may have bottomed out if you look at their results.
