Another dunk by Iowa. I'm really struggling to watch the rest of this game. It kind of feel like a car wreck. You do not want to look, but you simply cannot help yourself....

The only thing worse than watching this game is reading all this whining! Let just cancel the rest of the game and make the seniors walk home. That would teach 'em. The gall of these guys , letting you fans down.

Kav does not go after the rebound and then knocks the guy down. Is he frustrated or what.

Nice crowd tonight for Iowa. They are really into it and our Flyers are playing with no mental toughness. I doubt we would of had a packed house tonight. Maybe 10K.

Hard to argue that the team just did not bring it tonight. Iowa played with heart and passion, you know, like a team that acutally wants to win an NIT game. The Flyers have been flat and just plain lazy on defense.... In the typical words of Flyer fans everywhere, for many, many years.... JUST WAIT UNITL NEXT YEAR!!!!!

As I've said before, at the end of the night, not much difference between last year and this year's team - hopefully getting some of Archie's own players will improve the outcome

There, fixed it for ya. You remember, the first NCAA win in 19 yrs.
The venom in this thread is as pathetic as the Flyer's performance tonight.
This was Iowa's Super Bowl and our guys weren't up to the challenge.
A sincere thanks to CJ, Paul, Josh and Luke. Best of luck.

lose 84-75. Simply a sorry overall effort by the Flyers. Glad this season is over. Kinda like last year.... Two seed owned by a seven seed.... Just plain sorry.

Hate to see that for CJ...but Iowa's seniors played like they wanted to win...ours...well...they just took an out and back trip to Iowa...
Hopefully the U didn't fork out the funds for a chartered plane...an 8 hour bus ride to reflect on that ass kicking may do some of the future some good.

They also probably realize that Benson isn't around. But they may get 25 each anyway. Kav and Gav have had their good games. Tonight wasn't one of them. Pencil Benson in for 30. That leaves 50 minutes for 4 players. Any one of them could claim 30 per game by playing well enough. Any one of them could end up under 5 if they get outplayed badly enough.

Benson says wait a minute. I have been saying for the last month that Flyer fans had better hope Scott can defend the post because next year will be a struggle as well if he can't

If we get outplayed I'm okwith that but when the effort is missing, that's unforgiveable. Defense was a joke. The bigs can't score despite their size and not one single block.

long time lurker, don't post often.
I am a season ticket holder, despite living in Atlanta. Archie needs to lose his job. obviously the wrong guy for the job. there are things these kids are doing that you are told not to do in little league.
this is embarrassing. the times they played well was when they went to the old BG style. I know that Dayton will give him a chance to get his own players but i don't see it happening. the last two games were appalling, and it's not that these kids are not talented. We saw these same seniors do some incredible things. granted i felt like CJ and PW played like they didn't want to get hurt so they could play in Europe and perhaps CJ maintained his potential NBA birth.
It's on the coach to see this and bench them. He should have had the walk-ons in the game in the last minute (at least) of this Iowa game. He doesn't scout and prepare very well and this game was simply more proof. they played worse as the season went on and BG's style was slowly erased from the memory.
I know there's not much love for BG on here, but I liked the work ethic he instilled in the kids. Something they have a complete lack of now.
Bah, what a miserable season. maybe i can improve my tickets as people see the same thing and walk away

This guy for real? This may be the asshat post of the season.
I would have parked some players on the bench too, but AM worked with a soup sandwich the entire season. Our bottom 3 scholarship players wouldn't have been of the bench for the majority of the competition we played.
Stick to the lurking and less of the posting.

Hi BG, how are you? Tough year in a big time conference, well just think of all the $$$$$$$$$! Good luck next year.

Here's what I don't get. Iowa had at least 20+ layups and our bigs had zero blocked shots, and Kav & Gav had only 3 personal fouls between them. At some point don't you use your fouls to make some clean HARD fouls and send Iowa a message?

This just makes me very, very sad when I'm trying to be optimistic for the future.

Is it true?
I heard an Iowa player gave an up-fake and the entire UD bench, including Archie, jumped.

You would think so, since Kav & Gav can't block shots AT ALL!
