Why? He's just doing what someone always does for us when we need the clock to run. I think this has happened every game when all we need is the clock to run.

I can't believe you said Crutcher only played worth a darn for a couple minutes! How do you know what the game plan was! Maybe Anthony Grant said we are going to go inside every time down which took the ball out of Jalen's hand in the first half.

I was wondering why we didn't shoot many three's in the first half! Ibi has been way off lately and he was off this game also. Crutcher saved our bacon by making four free throws down the stretch!

Crutcher's three pointers in the second half were perfectly timed!

We shot 53% from the field and could have realistically shot 70-75% had we made just half the bunnies we missed. You couldnt ask for better looks. We shot 52% from two point range when we normally shoot 62%. But we had the kind of looks to shoot 70%.

UMass' physicality inside bothered us and altered our ability to finish. Trey has trouble finishing a close bucket w/contact. Dont be satisfied w/just drawing the foul.

We missed a lot of close in shots. This was an off game for us and we won. What, top 10 teams aren't going to have off games any more? We are not overrated, our off game is still a win. Go Flyers!

Amen. And especially a League road game. Right now fans all over the league are sick and tired of hearing about UD and Obi Toppin. They want our scalp. They are studying Obi's tendencies. Every game is a war.

As an aside, I really got a kick out of the one announcer who kept insisting the way to beat Dayton is to make them shoot 3's. Funny he never mentioned it again after Clutcher went off and we finished at 50%.

He was right though. Umass would be lucky to win 1 out of 20 games against us. Odds are not great either way. When you're inferior you can play your best game and have the best game plan and still lose.

It's how St. Louis almost got us the first time around. They packed it in and made us shoot 3's. We shot terribly. If our shooting kicked in 5 minutes later we lose the game.

It's easy to say make them shoot 3's because UD is leading the nation in fg %, and all-world from inside the arc.

We shot 54% from 3pt in this game, and 5 players made at least one 3pt field goal.

We are shooting 37.1% from 3pt for the season.

That is good enough to be top 30 in the nation.

Bottom line is that we have for the most part, done the job from 3 point so far this season.
And I agree that there are a boat load of IF"S out there that could spring up when it comes to timely 3pt shooting that will lead us to a win. But we are better than average from 3pt.

Nothing you said is incorrect, it's just for a team like Umass I still believe that's their best chance of winning. We're #6 for a reason
