Kudos to our Fans at the Game
Loud and proud to the max. Gonzaga had more people, but ours made the bigger noise. The announcers made several positive comments about our fans and attendance. Thanks to those of you who are suffering through the Hawaii weather and made a great show last night!

With the alleged rumors that ESPN has pretty much told UD that they can have their pick of these ESPN early season tournaments in large part due to the travel base of the program, the UD fans continue to represent well. Both teams represented well, if you caught any of the Chaminade v Baylor game right before, there were a bunch of empty seats visable on TV. You would think the tournament directors would take notice and let the Dayton & Gonzaga type fan bases take over these empty seats to help fill the arena and make for a better picture. I have little doubt they could have filled them up with a "waiting line only" for those seats w/ a nominal charge. We love us some hoops.

A big reason we do so well at these tournaments is that we draw so well. Sounded like a home game last night even with a large group of Zags fans there. There will be no doubt about who the home team is tonight. 6th man! Here's what I said in last night's game thread:
What a way to fade out by ESPN... with the red-clad throng shouting "We are! UD!" So proud of this team AND our unbelievable traveling band fans! There are NO fans - NONE - to compare with the Flyer Faithful! Another home game tomorrow night!!
