Ranking the A10 jobs
https://watchstadium.com/news/atlant...ce-10-17-2018/
UD and VCU tied at #1.
Dayton:
Tied #1. Dayton (111) – Ranked first in tradition/history, media exposure and game atmosphere, and second in resources and facilities. Dayton went to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments under Archie Miller from 2014-17, and has an incredible fan base.
Where they win: The administration gets it at the highest and every level. The fans are passionate, loyal and an understanding fan base. The arena will be phenomenal when the renovations are done.” – A-10 assistant
The knock: “The weather. The sun doesn’t shine from November through March. It’s depressing.” – A-10 assistant
3. SJU
4. URI
5. UMASS...some of their fans think they should be annual NCAAT participants based upon the Calipari era, wow, that was over 20 years ago.
6. SLU...seems low, seems like should be #2 or #3
7. Davidson
8. UR
9. GW
10. GMU...seems a little low
11. SBU
12. DU
13. Fordham and LaSalle tied

SJU shouldn't be near as high. Once martelli leaves I think they'll be hurting.
They're that high because nelson and west went there like what 15 years ago?

What does recruiting base mean? The only category that puts us at mid-pack. Everything else we are pretty competitive.

Look up VCU's Basketball Development Center...I think that is what they are saying puts them above us in facilities. Also, as far as resources go, they spend more than us, and are a big state school, so they have unlimited funds.

The VCU facility is quite flashy. However our players have pretty much the same amenities, but they are not all located in one place. Some are at the Donoher Center and some in Cronin and Olsen. I do not know the location of the VCU facility in relation to where the athletes are housed, but Dayton's players (with the exception of freshmen) live literally across the street from the facilities they use the most.

I have been the Basketball Development Center and seen all of UD's facilities, this is better than anything UD has. As far as it's location, it is right behind the Siegel Center and is 1 block from where the basketball players live.

VCU Arena is smaller version (7,000) of Nutter Center. Can't
hold candle to UD Arena......NOT CLOSE.

I sure as hell don't like Dayton's winter weather...but I'd take it over all but 4 or 5 if the other A14 programs!

Weather in Dayton could be sunny in January, February or March. Don't know what this 'assistant' is talking about!
Oh! Wait! When it is single digit temp's (or below) the sun always shown!
