Kurt is playing really well, except for that one TERRIBLE botched shot.
London, not so much. He definitely has some jitters early.

Could we turn the ball over a few more times? I mean we might as well just give them the ball.
We have to wake up and start playing!!!

Its a good thing Richmond is cold from behind the arc or we would be in a bigger hole.
Good timing for one of our offensive dryspells....I can't take much more of this. Need to get some good shots!!

Is it just me or do those rims look REALLY loose? The Richmond one shakes and rattles every time the ball hits it.
Or is it just the feed? lol

Not there
Here is what doesnt matter:
1. Where we play
2. Who we play
3. What seed
4. What region
5. Mid-major vs. BCS bias
6. Joe Lunardi
7. Any other pollster
Here is what does matter:
1. This team is not built for a run in any tournament, least of all the NCAAs.

Its pretty clear we match up better with Kurt not in this game on the defensive end. I am not a KH hater, I actually like him but the style of game that Richmond plays is not good for Kurt. Their center can hit the 3 and they are slashers.. I would keep Luke, Charles, and CJ on the floor with most of the time.

I think that 90% of threads are about the top items. I think we might feel a collective sense of entitlement now that every pollster has us in... I am just not sure we can get it done.
Yes, we beat X (at home). Yes we beat Marquette (neutral). We also cant win away from UD Arena and really didnt play a strong schedule.
I am worried.
That is all.

Here is what does matter:
1. This team is not built for a run in any tournament, least of all the NCAAs.

What are you doing here? Leave you Troll. Go play kick the can or something. Where is clear the runway at he would be all over this troll.

Aren't threaded discussions great, lol.
It would be AWESOME if someone could write a vBulletin plugin to read the real time sports feed play-by-plays and insert them into the thread for the game discussion.

I'm starting to become a fan of Luke. If he beefs up and continues to shoot the 3 like he has the last couple of games he is going to be a key player for us over the next 3 years.

Yes, we beat X (at home). Yes we beat Marquette (neutral). We also cant win away from UD Arena and really didnt play a strong schedule.
I am worried.
That is all.

Exactly. It is the same as it was against Duquesne neither team uses a true low block post player that Kurt need to guard.
All we have to do is stop turning it over and keep rebounding

(a) we're undefeated on neutral courts which is where post-season games are played
(b) our schdule was tougher than over 70% of the teams playing division 1 basketball

I am worried bc of this game. And the turnovers. Etc. But I hear you, I will stay on topic.
Weird thing on Luke, I live in Chicago(land) and he is from Arlington Hts, a NW suburb. I was out to dinner in Arlington Hts when I found out that he declared to UD. It was the first time I had been in downtown AH and I havent been since. Very odd.
Not a troll, perhaps off topic and slanting toward negative, but not a troll.

Do you think the 23 ft 3-pointer is the shot BG drew up during the huddle in the timeout?

its ok no worries. Im from deerfield and I played against hersey a few times before he played there, but i did see him play in hs. he has matured so much and he could be a real dangerous shooter in the future (hes showing it now)

Nice runner by Marcus to close out the half.
Need to get the ball in the hands of CW, MJ, and CJ in the second half.
MP at the point...servicable minutes. Nice job Mick!

What a shot by MJ...looked like another MJ (Magic Johnson) sweeping across the lane!
Up by 3, I guess I'll take it after the sloppy start.

Imagine that, they scored on the last possession of a first half.
If the bench has 16 points, what the heck is with the starters--Wright, Little, and Johnson need to step up big time in the second half

Up 2 at half after playing that poorly...we have no business losing to this team. Let's play Dayton ball and I like our chances

We are really going to die on 2 things in the postseason:
1. Turnovers - how many we can create and score in transition vs how many are throw away passes on the break
2. Foul shooting. Enough said.
All any team has to do is win 6 in a row. Why not us? The same thing that can be said for any other team applies, if we play our game, it is ours. Easier said than done, I know. I just wish we had some more tough games under our belt around this time of the year. Make sense?

You have to admit, that was not a good looking shot. I love the result, but that is not the shot we want on a regular basis.

That is unbelievable. After playing like zombies for 12 minutes we appear to have woken up and finally started to play. I can't believe we are ahead after playing that bad. Now lets just play 20 minutes and finish off the spiders.

I think they got over early rust/jitters and will play a much better half of BB. Gotta keep CJ in the game for max minutes....
Luke could be the difference in building a nice lead...we'll see. He's got a shooter's makeup...very cool character.

OT: did I just hear if you buy a TV this weekend and the Flyers later make it to the Sweet 16, the store will give you a 32" flat screen? That's pretty inventive marketing.
