Perfect night for soccer at Baujan.
I really like what I am seeing of Bojang in the middle. He has the size and physicality that Amancona lacks. While Amancona can play that spot against many teams, against quality opponents he can get muscled out of the match. Plus, Amancona will rarely win a header in the middle.
None of the above is to diss Amancona. He is still our best distributor and sees the field better than anybody. He is now playing more forward. Maybe doesn't see quite as many touches, but may see more one on one opportunities in space - and he will win his share of those - and set up teammates at the same time - or get more of his own shot chances closer to the goal.
BG had speed, quickness and skill tonight, but our size and physicality dominated in the second half and wore the Falcons down. Our tactics were excellent - especially our give and go.
Thought we were a bit shaky in the back during the first half - a few poor clears and indecision. Still, hard to argue over a clean sheet - due in no small part to a wonderful leaping and diving save by Saliba - as good a save as has been seen at Baujan in the recent past - SportsCenter top 10 material.
A very good week so far for the guys. A tie at Western Michigan (receiving votes in collegesoccernews top 30) and a 6-0 butt whipping of BG (ranked #30 in that same collegesoccernews top 30). At tosu on Friday. The Bucks are only 1-4-2 but tied #13 Penn State this past Sunday. A win in Columbus and we might start seeing some national recognition.

I like what I am seeing. Let's keep it rolling.
