Game recap:
http://www.udpride.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28094

First half was highly competitive. BGSU may have even had the better overall play. But UD was nonetheless up 2-0 and that had to make BGSU frustrated. The second half was all UD. Falcons couldnt handle our physicality.

BGSU sported a very good record. Remains to be seen how they do in the MAC. But it was a good RPI win. I doubt the Falcon players and coaches saw a 6-0 beatdown coming.

Perfect night for soccer at Baujan.

I really like what I am seeing of Bojang in the middle. He has the size and physicality that Amancona lacks. While Amancona can play that spot against many teams, against quality opponents he can get muscled out of the match. Plus, Amancona will rarely win a header in the middle.

None of the above is to diss Amancona. He is still our best distributor and sees the field better than anybody. He is now playing more forward. Maybe doesn't see quite as many touches, but may see more one on one opportunities in space - and he will win his share of those - and set up teammates at the same time - or get more of his own shot chances closer to the goal.

BG had speed, quickness and skill tonight, but our size and physicality dominated in the second half and wore the Falcons down. Our tactics were excellent - especially our give and go.

Thought we were a bit shaky in the back during the first half - a few poor clears and indecision. Still, hard to argue over a clean sheet - due in no small part to a wonderful leaping and diving save by Saliba - as good a save as has been seen at Baujan in the recent past - SportsCenter top 10 material.

A very good week so far for the guys. A tie at Western Michigan (receiving votes in collegesoccernews top 30) and a 6-0 butt whipping of BG (ranked #30 in that same collegesoccernews top 30). At tosu on Friday. The Bucks are only 1-4-2 but tied #13 Penn State this past Sunday. A win in Columbus and we might start seeing some national recognition.

I like what I am seeing. Let's keep it rolling.

May have been the best, most complete soccer showing I have ever seen. Everything went UD's way, efficient offense and great defense when it counted.

my first live look at the Flyers and while the final score was an impressive win over a decent opponent I really can't see this team making a lot of noise...too weak up front...1 striker tall and slow and another 5'7 but has the quicks. Midfield and defenders had a good evening but a our play defending our goal is sloppy at time and really good forwards and midfielders will make the Flyers pay for less than crisp clears away from 30 yards and in.
