Golden DNutz - UNF
I missed the entire 2nd half cuz of work so I'm nominating players based on their first half performances and what I see in the final box score.
Pollard with 8 assist? That's Nutz!!
DD off the bench with double digit points. Finally!
Cooke on fire...except from the FT line.
Scoochie with 15 pts and 4 assists with 0 to's...
And Big Steve playing huge!
Lost of good things to discuss as we prepare for Vandy.

One of the tougher votes of the year as Cooke, KP the assist man, and Big Steve all deserve credit today. I was happy to see Big Steve making quicker decisions too when we fed him down low. In past games he hesitated a few seconds before either making a move to score or passing.
I voted to Cooke for the same reason SeaBass mentions. His D in the 2nd half on Beech.
I will give an honorable mention to the officials, for not calling every ticky tack little foul like they had in previous games. With the exception of the one official with 2 or 3 minutes left in the game, I thought the guys in stripes did a much better job than any of our other games this season. Thanks for letting them play a bit.

And when did Jim Cantore start officiating? He needs to stay in weather...

They had no answer for the Big Question we call Steve.
Which is why he earned my Royal bigger vote.

In the first half we had no one who could guard Beech, which is why Cooke earned my vote(s) for his D in the second half. Of course scoring 20+ and grabbing a few boards to go with a couple blocked shots helps too.
Last time I checked, if Big Steve would score 2 points every possession and Beech score 3 every possession, we would have lost.
Now back to my weather reporting.......

I had to go with Scooch. It seems that he's the one that gets things turned around on offense when we need it and he did the same in the 2nd half. Without Scooch, I cringe to think what our 3 point shooting percentage would've been our last 4 or 5 games.

Steve's best game and a peek at the potential he has. Doubled his point average. Doubled his rebound average. Doubled his blocks average.

Voted for Steve (big Mac) but Cooke III sure looked like 'the man' an awful lot today . . .
(and by 'awful' - i mean 'awesome')!

Lots of good choices for lots of good reasons. I voted for Scoochie because, when we were putting the nails in the coffin early in the 2nd Half, Scoochie was the one swinging the hammer. 3 - Boom! 3 - Boom! 3 - Boom! And no TOs, either. But no argument with Big Mac, Cookie Monster, KP, or Baby D, either.

Most Improved (half time adjustment/speech): Archie
The first 8 minutes of the 2nd half were 180-degrees off of the same time span in the Egg_avier game.
