Players available at George Mason?
Some websites (StatFox, Covers) show our players as questionable or out: XW (illness); Kostas, Jordan Pierce (disciplinary). I haven't seen any report of this locally. Anybody else?

I'd be surprised if Pierce plays again this year

I haven't seen news but wouldn't be a shock if Kostas has moped or acted out given his lack of play.
I, like everyone else, am not sure if he'll ever realize his ceiling due to perceived lack of attention to details - but he will never reach that height, whatever it may be, without playing in games.
Now I'm not in practices so if he's loafing, goofing off, ignoring coaches and not giving his best effort, than he can't play. But if it's the staff just frustrated with his lack of polish and bad positioning, they need to coach him up and let him get some minutes.
Let's all be honest, this team is not going to the NCAA Tourney for the next two years (barring some odd upset in the A10 Tourney) so let's get the kid some playing time, if he's willing to try and work hard.
Maybe as a junior it all clicks for him, after a couple of years of work.

I know what you're all thinking... why would Kostas have a moped?
Could he be working on a halftime routine that's inspired by Evil Kneivel and Red Panda?
Meeting those two acts halfway in the middle on a sweet moped seems like the only reason to own one.
But feel free to draw your own conclusions.

They can be fun to ride sometimes, but don't ever let your buddies catch you on one.

You guys know what’s not fun to ride?
Hint: Kostas and Xeyrius have had their butts parked on it of late.

The original post was asking what players were available for the game. After that performance, I think the answer was none.

What are you smoking? This is today's starters minus DD and adding in an injured Mikesell who has never been anymore than perhaps an average A 10 player and my not even be serviceable next year. At best a 500 team. We need a lot of help- fast!

Mikesell was a stud early on last year, far from an average soph. How was Oliver as a soph? Not saying we don't need help. At best 500? No way. Put money down, happy to take it.

A Lot of Help Fast. No question, a lot more talent Fast. This blowout loss to a poor George Mason team was the most embarrasing defeat this year of a university that prides itself on basketball and its amazing facilities and fan support.
I still belive in AG, give him time and his recruits, but geesh, that was a JOB

I agree we need A Lot of Help Fast also! I can't believe how embarrassing it would be this Saturday if the Flyers put on a repeat performance like the George Mason game with Dwayne Cohill in attendance getting to see his new team next season play for the first time!
At least Anthony Grant has shown the ability to recruit. Jim O'Brien couldn't recruit a lick!

Reminds me of an exchange between myself and another Band Alum when we were subbing for the student band around Christmastime in the 1998-99 season. IIRC, our guys were getting embarrassed in that game, and were on the way to a sub-.500 season, in OP's 5th year. My bud and I were commenting how Brooks Hall (at that time, a High School Senior) was supposed to be in attendance, and that, if he was watching that travesty, he'd be thinking "These guys suck! I should be able to start and play 30 minutes a game as a freshman!" Almost on cue, Brooks came walking past the pep band (when it was still in Section 212), and glared at both of us. True story.
To rope it back, if this team doesn't play any better against Fordham on Saturday than they did at GM tonight, Cohill may leave The Arena with the same impression that we said Hall would have 19 seasons ago.

Correct! that it is the same starters minus DD and plus Mikesell/Cohill, but isn't it a strong possibility that Crutcher, J Davis and Landers will continue to improve and be better players next year than this year? Josh will probably be similar and Mikesell is a ? because of the injury but it's possible he may improve as well. I also think if Kostas stays and hasn't quit on the coach he could be much improved as well (and if he doesn't get in a moped accident in the off season). If Cohill is what we think he is and Toppin can contribute then I think this team will be over .500 next year and in fact I think vastly improved.
