George Mason Game Thread

Thoughts about tonight. Cardano Hillary is struggling from the three point stripe at 33% - I say dare her to take some early and if she's hot then close in on her. Interesting to see how she is handled defensively, matchup zone perhaps. Wild card for GM could be the 6'0 freshman Tamia Lawhorne who comes in averaging only six points a game but had 22 against GW in the conference opener. Gatling (1000 point scorer) and Bolton both average ten a game and can't be overlooked. We'll find out tonight if Jayla is back. Easy to say oh they scored 98 without her Saturday but that was against La Salle. This is stiffer competition. Again, if anyone wishes to hear the interview I did last week with Casey Nance it will be on at halftime at radio1660.com.

Gosh, this is painful to watch. Flyers shooting 23%. Mason shooting 28%. Both teams shooting 50% from the line. 12 turnovers for Mason, Flyers turned it over 8 times. Just an ugly ugly game.

She scored as many points in the last 2 seconds of the second quarter as the rest of the team scored in the prior 9:58 combined.

Game had 41 baskets and 36 turnovers. That looked and felt like a botched root canal....but it was a W.

Jordan's play has kind of stagnated the last couple of years. It would be great if senior magic kicks in and she really starts to tear it up.

Cardano-Hillary is going to Indiana. I'd think she'll have to sit out a year. Didn't realize she's #2 in active points for D1 - Bre Cavenaugh of Fordham is #1. Some posts above note I'm not a fan of hers at all so good luck in the Big Ten!

This girl is pretty good, but she will not have the production she had at her last school. She will make a nice 6th man/backup pg, but she will not be getting 20 true shot attempts every game like she was. Reminds me of amber deane, good player in the A10 who can give patberg rest. I hope they didnt tell her she would be starting…lol

I think the difference is that I still wonder if amber was physically up to par that’s not an issue with Nikki
