#11 disappointment ?
i have been wanting to write this thread for weeks but havn't, schoochie came to ud as one of the top 5 highest recruits ever i'm almost positive, he has had one decent game recently but besides that he has been not good, don't give me that he is a freshman crap, I see many many freshman every night scoring 10-15 points a game, when he is in running our offense we go inept, today was a great example, archie put him three times and his play was so horrible, archie yanked his butt out within 2-3 mins of being in there, we are over half way through the season and in my opinion he has done nothing special, so I believe for being the "highly touted" freshman coming in, so far I would call him a disappoinment, anyone else feel the same ?

Playing D1 ball is a lot different than playing HS ball. Some come in and make immediate contributions while others take longer if ever getting up to D1 skill level.
Last year the ladies had a 4star recruit who just didn't hack it at the D1 leve and transfered to D11. Then you have the Andrea Hoover's of the world who exceed all expectations.
I think Schooie will be one of those top recruits that will be a late bloomer and complement this team. Look at DMO (not tonights game). Many thought DMO would transfer as he didn't see the court much but kept at it and has been far more of an asset than a detriment. Everyone is entitle to a bad game; thats why its a team sport. Others have to step up when one is down.
Now having said that both the player and coaches have to realize its his bad day and not keep counting on him. Play the hot hand, and bench the cold one. Really a simple concept.

I don't. He is the backup. What backup freshman scores 10-15 a game? What freshman starting point guard averages 10 per game. He was not a top 50 recruit, and not one of the five tops of all time, so why the huge expectations. I thought he played OK today against a very tough senior defense. He gives us a different skill in speed, jump shooting and penetration that Price does not. He has to get a better handle, better defense and better judgement, and he will.

I don't believe Scoochie is one if the 5 highest recruits ever. I think he will be good, but he is not ready for a 30 minute gig at the point.

You are a disappointment and obviously haven't played past a 3rd grade Y league.
If UDP would let me issue you another red pip I would. Stay tuned for that one bro.
